Am I missing something here? A prop kicks a drop goal- not to be encouraged, I agree, but nevertheless it is a successful kick and therefore advances his side. I presume it was not kicked in the dying moments of the game when his side needed more than 3 points to draw or win. Assuming that, what's wrong with the kick, or is this another fattist attack on props?

Tahs did win but the drama surrounding Dunnings drop goal was that to make the semi, the Tahs needed the win with a 4 try bonus point. When Dunning drop goaled to null the advantage and go back to a penalty (obviously with the intention to miss), the Tahs had 2 tries. If things had of worked out though and we'd scored a try off that run of play, the crowd would have been something else to experience as Nathan Grey (I think) intercepted a pass after the siren and ran it in to score, which would have given the Waratahs a bonus point.

They need bonus points for tries from this game. I believe he really wanted to miss as the Tahs would keep the ball from a penalty, soa he had a crack at the drop, was successful, but the tahs didnt get the bonus points required and missed out on the finals etc etc. Good drop though.

Props can kick, sometimes not very well, unfortunately this time it was very impressive, but as all `tahs supporters know he was actually hoping to miss, so it was in fact a sh*t kick...At least he was smiling afterwards, long afterwards, probably realised that it`s only a game, and he`ll have a great story to tell the grandkids...
