Considering I knew the result that was an exciting game. The boys played well and apart from not having an answer to the rolling maul, and few do, I was impressed. Quite a few players that I didn’t know before today but look forward to seeing again. Very impressed with Horton, he may be small but has a lions heart and good eye for the game. Actually most of the guys out there did.
Looking forward to the next game.

While looking for a highlights packages I came across the coaches interview after the game on YouTube. Cron admitted they hadn’t much of a chance to practice maul defense but it is going to be top of the list for the next game.

During the match was thinking, given we don't play the Cheetahs in competition, if Cron was (is!) smart he would engage them for live training in the week between Perth matches.
Most SA Forwards would prefer to maul than go to the beach anyway, maybe get Twiggy to lay on the Harvest Road for a braai...
