I heard we had lost another good 'un and just saw this posted on the Force site.
He did a wonderful job for the Force before being unfairly and unscrupulously chopped by hungry powerbrokers.
Was a great bloke and always had time for a word and a beer.
Sleep easy 'Beak'.

The Western Force community is saddened by the loss of inaugural Force Chief Executive Peter O’Meara who passed away on Tuesday the 6th of June 2023.
O'Meara was a leading figure in turning the Western Force from a concept into an extremely successful Super 14 team.
O’Meara became CEO in March 2005, steering the club through to January 2008. By the end of 2007 just one year after competition the Force had the biggest sponsorship portfolio and membership base of any Australian Super 14 team. The Force then went on to become a serious semi-finals contender in only its second season.
Western Force CEO Tony Lewis sends his thoughts to Peter's family "The Western Force Rugby club are devastated to hear the news that our first CEO Peter O'Meara has passed after a long illness. Peter was a great rugby man; rugby has lost a leader, and we have lost superb human.

Very sad news

I met Peter and Liam O'Meara in Wagga Wagga after the Force played the Waratahs in the "Australian Provincial Championship".

Peter and I talked for 15-20 minutes about establishing an East Coast Force Fan Club, which I tried to put together for 2 plus years.

He was a great guy. He always made himself available to me when I had a question.

Sadly missed.
