    Perth Test - Fiji

I read a tiny article in the Sunday times (somewhere in amongst all the blathering on about the local derby) that the Perth test for next year is against Fiji (not confirmed/in concrete) anyone shed any light on this?

It also said Wales will not be playing one of their matches over here...

What is disgraceful mate, the fact it`s fiji, or that it isn`t someone better. Fiji play exciting rugby, even if they are not too competitive they still perform well and have a lot of flair. Will still be a good contest i reckon, and perhaps lots of tries will be scored, but that is still pretty exciting, and if they happen to score, you can bet it will still get a rousing reception from all supporters, `cause at least they are having a go

That's a disgraceful comment Weebie, Fiji are ranked 11th in the world out of nearly one hundred recognised rugby playing countries, that is a fantastic effort!! Don't take that away from them or the rest of us who will eagerly go and watch them play!

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

The only thing i see is more Flowers shambles disregarding the growing support for Rugby over here in Perth.

I'm not doubting Fiji's Skill level or position as a top 10 Rugby Nation. I jsut believe that Perth needs to have a big name Test match every year.

The reality is that i won't be here when it happens but i'm sure the rest of my mates will be dissapointed when they find out Fiji is coming over.

Having said that most of us Have tickets for All australia matches at the World Cup plus other big matches so i don't think we will be too dissapointed.

some of the best matches don't have to involve SA/NZ/AUS!

the AUS v NZ Maoris match a few years back was one of the best i've watched - 25+ phases after the siren, 4 points behind, 5m from the line!

logic & money mean the biggest matches are played over east - and if theres only 1 or 2 (as there are next year) then perth misses out.
