Well, thankfully someone like Forrest is running the show. That's all I can say.

Quite honestly, I think GRR should charge Eastern Australian teams double if they want to join GRR after Stupor Rugby has died in 2021. Not one of them lifted a finger to help WA when we were being put to the sword last year, and AndrewG is correct in that RA had to be brought to the GRR table kicking and screaming, despite what Robinson would have everyone believe now.

There is a very good reason why GRR has been domiciled in Hong Kong, and Twiggy articulated that very well in the GRR launch on Thursday.

I think the play from RA right now is to support the World League concept and when it goes in front of the broadcasters I beleive RA will be hoping the windfall from that helps subsidise super rugby because it looks inevitable that Super rugby will be worth considerably less during the next broadcast cycle.

I see the SANZARR nations are all showing support for this new tournament $$$

There is no guarantee at this rate that Australia will even qualify for it given the plummet down the rankings

I don’t like the World League concept at all. Revenue sharing shouldn’t happen as majority of unions can’t afford to give away their gate money and countries like Ireland and England allocate tickets to grassroots clubs to sell to raise revenue. Wales and Scotland still have heavy debts. It is their revenue that under performing unions like UAR, SARU and the RA are proposing to take away and they have little to offer in return. Particularly with weaker currencies, ground rental and dwindling attendances.

It also doesn’t give clarity over the Lions and the Barbarians place in the wider schedule. The unions signed an agreement last year to have more tier one v tier two matches a closed shop world league doesn’t provide that. The tier two nations play each other often enough particularly with the European Nations Cup played over a two year period.

I also don’t see enough appetite from supporters for this concept.

What chance, I wonder, does Mr Clyne and the rest of his grisly ARU/RA clique have of getting on Mr Forrest's Christmas function list?

(And more than a year later, I still cannot believe that Mr Clyne and his grim-faced gang actually walked away from $50M that Mr Forrest was prepared to put on the table. It looks like the HKRFU might get their hands on some of Mr Forrest's money, but not, I would fancy, the ARU/RA/NSWRU or their cohorts.)

This remains the most outstanding example of the failed governance of the ARU Board. The ship is sinking and they threw the life boats overboard. How they remain in place is beyond description.

I can due to the fact that Uncle Cam is a c..t, can’t get a story straight and is playing politics so bad the Labor Party won’t have him.

Comment made and "In moderation". There's nothing contraversial in anything I posted; have others had a similar issue? Or am I ear-marked as a trouble-making Force fan, who's comments are always moderated?

Thanks for the support Sheikh. Hopefully your response will pop up. Every time I post a response, it also goes through "moderation" as well. I think it is because I am regarded as a "rookie"" and they have learn to trust me first, before they let me loose without going through checking my comments.

I tried hard to keep my piece down to moderate sensible tones, so they would publish it.

I must say that the Roar editor did a good job of polishing my scribbling and cutting out a few irrelevant bits.

They will fire that editor for not "westernforce"* the entire article as irrelevant

    * new term for Cull/chop/axe/etc

BTW I had a comment in moderation for the "no clue about backline" article which has still not made it. I said Cheika had no clue about backline. Funny that

Jesus. There's a bit of the conspiracies going on here. Comments get moderated all the time. I've had comments that I would say were fairly mild moderated and even not posted in the past. Settle down everyone.
