Lots of rubbish praising RugbyAustralia and ofcourse ignoring the actual facts about where the game now sits in the sporting landscape which have left alot of journos and wannabe up and coming future RA mouthpieces struggling to find a future where they fit into the rugby landscape now that everyone over east has started to switch off Rugby Union. Let's see how low and desperate these journos can get when they know they cant get anyone to read anything positive because none of the fans bother clicking on the rugby section on these websites anymore. All the negative press just fuels the flames and the cycle of imminent death continues into oblivion. It's a perfect storm.
It was as bad as Wayne Smith's article advising Papworth to work with the RA. Why would Jones work with the RA after destroying them for over a year and the complete contempt they showed the Barbarians.

Apropos of not much, but laughable, is the new narrative being put out by pRAvda that 2018 was an improved year over 2017.

The Big Lie...große Lüge...say it often enough and loud enough it becomes the truth. A lie so colossal that nobody will believe the truth has been so grossly distorted. Coined by...wait for it...Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf.

I wrote the actual stats on another thread, the truth is the Aus teams happily beat each other to gain the wins. But wait, a couple of wins over NZ teams glosses over the floggings to Jags, Moonwolves, Lions etc.

Hopefully this means Fiji pretty much confirmed for World series rugby...

Hopes of Fiji side in Super Rugby set to fade - report

Fiji's hopes of being included in Super Rugby are fading.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports the Fiji Rugby Union submitted a bid to join Super Rugby in June, but the SANZAAR upped its financial demands for new entrants.

The figure is understood to be somewhere between NZ$15-18.5 million.

The region's best hopes now appear to rest on the legitimacy of a Hawaiian-based consortium led by Richard Fale - the man who tried and failed to buy the Warriors earlier this year.

SANZAAR had hoped to agree on a new format for Super Rugby in November, but that will likely be delayed while World Rugby decides on a new international calendar.

Twiggy offered Aus $50 mil last year for the Force to be in Super Rugby and got knocked back!

Hold the phone! SANZAAR are taking expressions of interest from new teams for 2021? Didn't we get rid of the Force and 2 Saffa teams so we can shrink to greatness? Which other teams have made such an expression of interest?

I only ask you because I know you have the corporate memory and now the figures. But so you can re-educate TWAS and the Clyne-sycophants who troll this forum - how much was going to be saved from cutting the Force? And where were the funds to be distributed?

GAGR twathead ‘writers’ are pursuing the usual BS.
«*The FRU now look likely to seriously entertain an approach from ‘Twiggy’ Forrest’s renegade World Series Rugby, which is desperately hunting for further teams in a bid to launch an eight-team competition by next March.«* FFS!

You're right, Valzc. They ain't writers. Does this passage look familiar? ...

The FRU now look likely to seriously entertain an approach from Andrew 'Twiggy' Forrest's World Series Rugby, which is desperately hunting its first 'domino' in a bid to launch an eight-team competition by next March.

It's from everyone's favourite at the smh, "Rebel League" Geerob ... In other words, GAGR are Copy'n'Pasters.

This is just another stone that WSR will step over.

So Richard Fale could possibly have a Hawaii team in WSR? And they say I've jumped the shark

Geoff Parkes could do with some educating too.

On the continuum from news reporting to imagined musings, that one has to be latter.

Greg Growden used pad his columns with stuff plucked from the ether; it's tradition at the smh.

Kiwis floated the Hawaiian thought-bubble and IMO it should be left to them.
