I think everyone was sickened and angered by the actions of a few in those first two years. And several players were sacked.

Can't remember Kurtley or Judas being sacked. Or Mafi and Timani. Or anyone else at the Rebels. Trying to conflate the Force and Rebels is pathetic trollkraft

The Rebels are a joke. Their "sponsor" is a joke. Your efforts to over dramatise every thread is a joke.

The Force boys got in trouble for picking up a quokka not kicking one. Quokkas are a protected species and therefore are not allowed to be touched by humans under law. Most Force players at the time were from over east and did not know this law and picked one up to pat it.

So they didn't throw it into a car and beat it within an inch of it's life? Are the two incidents even comparable then?

Not at all. Its the irony.
Similar situations in AFL when a player gets done for DUI and the major sponsor is a Road Safety advocate.

Browne king hit that quokka, an inspiration to Mafi, Pone, Judas and Kurtley

Richard Brown placed an empty milk create over the top of a quakka so that he could trap it make further inspection, just being a curious country boy that has just seen something for the first time and wanted a closer look. Unless you were there or have a pictures that prove otherwise, this is what happened from those that were witness to the event.

the sad irony is the Rebels advertisement for Massey Ferguson with the quote: "unbeatable field performers" and a picture of Lopeti Timani with Dane Heylett Petty and Reece Hodge.

Doesn’t look great for the Rebels’ major sponsor and their ‘say no to violence’ tag line either :-(
