    Wallabies Squad for 1st Test

    1. Scott Sio
    2. Brandon Paenga-Amosa
    3. Sekope Kepu
    4. Izack Rodda
    5. Adam Coleman
    6. Caleb Timu
    7. Michael Hooper (captain)
    8. David Pocock
    9. Will Genia
    10. Bernard Foley
    11. Dane Haylett-Petty
    12. Kurtley Beale
    13. Samu Kerevi
    14. Marika Koroibete
    15. Israel Folau

    16. Tolu Latu
    17. Allan Alaalatoa
    18. Taniela Tupou
    19. Rob Simmons
    20. Lukhan Tui
    21. Pete Samu
    22. Nick Phipps
    23. Reece Hodge

Can't say I'm overly enthused by the line-up.
If BPA & Latu are the best hookers we can muster, Ireland will have a massive boost in the front rows (Furlong, Cronin, Healy vs Sio, BPA, Kepu?)
With Coleman & Rodda vs Toner & Henderson, the locks look similar.
Will Timu be the compliment to Hooper & Pocock? Tough challenge when up against (maybe) Beirne, O'Mahoney & Stander.
Genia vs Conor Murray may be even, depending on Genia's fitness.
Foley vs Sexton isn't even funny, except for those who like schadenfreude.
Beale & Kerevi vs Henshaw & Aki/Ringrose could be interesting, assuming Beale gets enough ball. I'm guessing Ireland won't give them much.
DHP & Koroibete vs Earls & Stockdale - expect balls behind Koroibete to make him turn - Earls can be blisteringly quick.
Folau vs Kearney this may be the one match-up where the Wallabies have an advantage; but while Kearney may not be the pure athlete Folau is, he knows how to play full-back properly (counter-attacks well, has a great boot, and makes cover tackles).

Sheikh's prediction: The Wallabies keep it close, but unless everyone on the team keeps their discipline and plays blinders, the Irish win by ~1 try while still in 2nd gear.

Ireland could fly in tomorrow and still win it

Some horribly self-indulgent selections there (but no surprises) Foley still at 10, not sweeping the dressing sheds, Hooper still at 7, rather than fixing the gap Kerevi will leave at 13, Folau still at 15 despite DHP being a better fullback than him and Folau being a better winger that DHP, Can't say I have any opinion about BPA, coz I haven't watched the Reds at all this year, but being backed up by Tolu Latu speaks volumes about our depth at hooker!

I think the Wesley/Scotch game will be the one to watch.

Absolutely pathetic team to me-kick the ball to Beale all night , and then smother him. No high ball kicks to Folau-he’s a 1 trick pony, & too lazy to look for work, just kick behind him. Hooper will run around in circles getting tossed off the breakdowns as usual & attempt to talk to the ref/team with no effect. Have I lost faith in our Wallatahs methinks?

It's a shame Ireland didn't have a warm-up against the Force in Perth last week.
