Wallabies lure for Western Force signings

Nick Taylor | The West Australian
    Wednesday, 18 April 2018 10:31AM

Australians signed to the new Western Force will be eligible for Wallabies selection after governing body World Rugby approved the World Series Rugby competition.
Several players have moved back from overseas to join the club or stayed after its axing from Super Rugby last year.
Former Force captain Matt Hodgson, now head of elite performance, said it was a big win for the club.

More here with a bit on Ryan Louwrens - looking bloody cut an fit in the picture - and a couple of new Samoan players, a centre and a flanker.
Great reading these stories. Hope Rats Arse are choking over their cheese.

I notice the article says the final game is against a Japanese team.

Initially it was TBA but as soon as they started the advertising posters it was marked as "Japan".

I reckon it's one of the 16 Top League teams (with some details yet to be finalised).

My guess is Panasonic Wild Knights coached by Robbie Deans - Ben Mac and David Pocock's team.
(Also Sam Wykes and Sam Norton-Knight and George Whitelock)
Currently sitting top of the table.
Now that could be a good game as their points for & against are currently 580:142.
    Even Suntory are 450:180.

    Only time will tell.......

When you say "currently sitting top of the table"; the season finished in January and will re-start in August. Our match (17th August) will be a pre-season match for any Top League side, and probably the last pre-season match before the season starts, as last year the league kicked off on that weekend.
