I would stay clear of Hawaii for time zone differences and travel factors. It simply doesn't make sense for World Series Rugby and it certainly doesn't make sense for Super Rugby, but like all things its never stopped Super Rugby from shooting itself in its foot time and time again

It is also past the dateline which makes it even more incompatible for the viewing audience.

Yep exactly. It would be a total diaster. I'm not sure why any of this is even being considered?we have a Hawaiian team, the name Pacific "Force", time zone is rubbish, economics of the team would be rubbish, whoever is running SANZAAR is deluded. Their expansion plans are total rubbish. Its no wonder super rugby is a laughing stock!

Anyone else think it's a bit weird that SPaRTAN has the same avatar that Muddy had?

Don't feel you have to - it just brought back some memories of a dear, departed poster+.

[+ Note, not dear. Especially not to TGerry, who usually had to deal with him. A thankless task, the extent of which wasn't apparent until Gerry vented for about 30 minutes non-stop once on the Darwin pre-season tour! At least we weren't on Crown land.]

It's possible that Muddy is still being an internet pest and has morphed into a train that can't find it's station.

I know TWAS aka Cameron reads this forum.

As a side I will be absolutely furious if the RA spend more grass roots money on breaking Luke Jones' contract at Bordeaux to bring him to the Rebels, he only signed an extension there recently so should adhere to (and no one pointed a gun to his head to tell him to sign it). It will be another Leroy Houston case, leading a fringe player who has played a couple of average tests down the garden path convincing him that is a prospective Wallaby despite Cheika favouring Hanigan.
