So RA will give us a chance to bid for a place in the next iteration of Super Rugby. Of course we can absolute faith in the integrity of any such process. F*ck them.

    So what's next?

Ms Castle will send over a bunch of tickets to the 2018 Bledisloe match in Sydney and various luminaries from WA will dutifully trot across to Sydney to partake of the ARU/RA's hospitality and to receive welcoming pats on their heads because all has been forgiven by WA?

Ms Castle is two for two . A lame attempt to explain the much publicised RA spin on the pathway for WA players to the professional level and now some drivel about readmission to super rugby. Nothing to see here ....
On a different note ... The standard of the Blues v Highlanders match yesterday is a dire warning/indication to the fractured Australian conference.

And there lies the difference between the game in Oz and NZ.
Really enjoyed the B v H game. Great rugby from the opening whistle.

The Fox commentators (Marto & Kafe - both extremely cringeworthy and RA sycophant) for the Reds v Rebels game kept rationalising the poor skills and lack of cohesion shown by the two teams as it "was after all only the 1st game of the new season". Even the ref was allowed to make mistakes.

All SR teams are meant to be professional outfits who put in the hard yards during the pre-season.
Losing games early in the season, that should have been won, makes life difficult every time - esp in the current conference system.

It took the Rebels a long time to find their mojo (mostly thanks to Genia and not Coleman).
It would have been a very different result without the red card to Higgers (just exercising his normal thuggery) and the subsequent yellow (which should have been a red). The Reds clearly dropped their bundle with no-one really showing any leadership role.

One thing that yesterday’s poor turn out at AAMI crystallised for me is that we MUST sell out NIB for every single one of the Western Force games this year - including the one against the Rebels!- so that it is as plain as the noses on the ARU’s faces that they made a HUGE mistake when they spurned us in favour of a disinterested, dispassionate and, frankly, arrogant Melbourne.

It really is time to RISE UP and get behind the Western Force this season. The ARU can fudge figures and produce spreadsheets galore, but it cannot do a thing to rub out a stadium full of loud, proud and passionate screaming West Aussies showing how much this game means to us.

    West is most definitely best!!!!

Who really cares who we play as long as its 15 a side Rugby. Lets move on people, we can't change the past, we are entitle to remain pissed off and gutted BUT at some stage we have to move forward. Its that simple.

Sorry. Having a depleted "Western Force" play the Melbourne Rebels in Perth would be the ultimate rubbing of our faces in it (and likely yield a score line resembling the Lions vs WA game of 2001).

I'll spend my money on more enjoyable things, thank you very much.

Why do we have to play the Rebels anyway?

The Tahs were always the most joy to beat just as they had so many prima donnas playing for them who not only lost for the Tahs but were also behind many of the Wallabies' losses. Enjoyed Michael Foley's W:L record against the Tahs. How fantastic was Round 17 last year!!
The Rebels were the most frustrating team as we always had the team to beat them but we found it so hard. Was it 4W wins from 12 encounters?? Melbourne's my home town so it was always a good excuse to fly over but I don't think that I ever saw a win there!

Would gladly watch the Rebs in Perth as have enjoyed the efforts of so many of our lads who have joined the Rebs.
I hope that all 12 WF players get lots of game time and they are constantly let down by their Reb team mates.
Would be great to have some of them return home for the IPRC in 2019 and beyond.

PS Can't believe that the Rebs have brought back Jack Debreczeni in preference to Jono Lance as I don't rate JD - softest big bloke in the game - actively avoids contact. Poor choice by somebody as Jono would outplay him every game. Loved his 60m try against Tahs in Round 17 last year when Hooper put in little more than a token effort to run him down (Jono's not that fast!).
    Some awesome stats AndrewG

Well done. As a long term RWA clubbie from the suburbs I just wanted to ask. Would like you to consider your reference to this bloke foley?

Are u deluded? This is a bloke that was punted from the Waratahs because staff and players hated him.

Employed by the force and then proceeded to disenfranchise The professional team and community in a way that possibly lead to the demise of the WF?

This is a bloke that destroyed the confidence of players and staff alike in his tenure?

Your choice you can support a bloke like this. But where is he now? A career coach that has taken on nothing in the last two years. Coincidence? Or maybe the last caught up with him?

Ask Westiesmani about how this bloke was a positive influence on life in WA rugby and a majority of people who suffered through his reign about how good he was to the game in perth.

RWA juniors promote mental health as an awareness issue. Ask some of the players and staff who worked with your mate about their mental health.

U might re consider your stats on how WF beat the Tahs a couple of times.

So you label and scold the current super rugby teams in Australia as poorly skilled , yet who have the best players in the country who have have trained non stop since November?

Are you going to support a bunch of no names thrown together for Twiigys comp, who won’t have done anywhere near the same amount of training or coordination together?

At least the rebels or reds don’t share a facility with a soccer team.

Am off to support the West coast fever with my daughter
