Hong Kong Rugby Union chief executive Robbie McRobbie said HKRU was “delighted to have both our men’s and women’s national teams travelling to Perth as part of the Force’s exciting calendar of fixtures for 2018. For our women this is an opportunity to build on their participation in last year’s Rugby World Cup in Ireland, while for our men it fits into a critical period as we endeavour to qualify for Japan 2019,” McRobbie said.

“We look forward to some tough rugby and hopefully putting on entertaining displays for the famous Force fans.”

The Womens’ Super W season kicks off at home this Sunday 11 March at 3pm at Harvey Field, (off Broome St) in Cottesloe where the Alcohol Think Again Western Force Women take on the Melbourne Rebels Women.

The game is free to attend and will feature entertainment from 2pm. Players from the Western Force men’s team will be in attendance.

Is that a Wallaroo in every positional group?

(If you count OB, WG and FB as all outside backs)

    Cool!

I work weekends so I'm guessing the only way to follow the game will be via twitter? Will it be from the PerthSpirit twitter feed?

Yup (Although I'm not a 100% on all those positions - I think players in the women's game move a bit more between roles, especially at club level)

Also Tui Cope, I believe, played for Australia women's RL in the Jillaroos ...

... so some more international experience there.

Interesting...seeing that some of the girls youve listed are playing in their relegated positions, not their prefered or club positions?
    Inside information eh?
Some great players there with some real potential, Go hard girls, make WA proud.

Heheh - that's why I posted 'em - to get the REAL inside info from folks on here like yerself.

Nah, I just pulled up a few old team lists, e.g. from the WA team last year + Wallaroos + one or two club score sheets.

So, no doubt, some of these girls will be in different positions to my list.

When you do have a look at club scoresheets, you often see players filling in different spots fairly regularly. It often seems like a case of giving out starting jerseys to the players the coach wants to see and then worrying about positions later. Well, if it's good enough for Michael Cheika ... why not?

Fun Fact - Neesha Barret is the cousin of the All Blacks Barret brothers, Beauden, Jordy and Scott.

Listening to me will get you nowhere real fast.
All i have to offer is the usual whinging, followed by some off topic tangent about that 100m try I scored from flank whilst benched with 3 broken legs....
Reckon your selection is close on the money though, with maybe one or two possible shifts in the OBs after kickoff.

Good point tho on the Cheikered selection techniques...

Thanks for that GIGS, I have Foxtel IQ3 and will record the game. It is not shown live but that's OK the replay is as 6.00pm - 7.30pm on channel 501.
