I reckon Cheika or whoever the next Wallabies coach is will ask for it to be changed as players will still go overseas regardless. You only have to look at how bare his cupboard is at 10 at the moment and say that Zack Holmes signs for Singapore and play as well as he is doing now they would select him. Hodge is not the answer he is too stiff with his passing and muscle bound to play 10. Shifting some of that off my affect his ball running which is his strength.

Having one 10 long term in match day squads is not going to work.

I think that once #ratsarse and fans see returning players playing in their back yard on FTA tv those playing in the Indo teams will (after SR) be allowed to play for the Wallabies. I hope.

The IPRC has the potential to become the richest rugby comp in the world! When salaries match and exceed what is being offered in Europe, Australian players will jump on board for big dollar contracts the RA and Clown (Cheika) will change their tune. Whether playing for the Force or one of the other teams in the IPRC the players will be seen on free to air tv and rugby can finally emerge out of the FOXTEL shadow.

Give the news a chance to break, they probably don't even know yet. After further local announcements today I'm sure they will be talking about it soon.

Just remember we are actively seeking this news out to spread to our loyal supporters, they will just hear it as it comes to them.

Plus, it's just about AFL season and we all know what that means for rugby generally.

No to mention The Collingwood WAFL team causing a sellout of The Craypot

There is NOTHING as usual on Eastern States sports news that I can see as usual, apart from comments from our own on GAGR! Talk about being in denial (that river in Egypt) But then who gives a toss, so long as they stay away from WA. When are the ‘boys’ coming back LOL!

How’d you like my comment about which team might be worried about a plunder of players. The usual suspects pipe up to poo poo the IPRC. Jeez I love stirring the shit!

I reckon thats a problem with Rugby in general at the moment.

I just had a look at the Fox Sports website and there were 2 Rugby articles in the Top 50 odd stories. The rest were Cricket, NRL (and they're only in pre-season) AFLW, AFL (again only in pre-season), Multiple European Soccer Leagues and the A-League, the NBA (Good to see Aussie kid Ben Simmons carving up). Even the Winter Olympics has more coverage than Rugby!

Without putting to much of a damper on our excitement there is nothing actually new in what Robinson says here. Rats Arse have said similar things previously and this has just been dressed up by Robinson and Smith.
Having said that I hope it's true.

Yes, I’m sure if it was as done and dusted as Robinson says, Raelene would have mentioned it when she was here only a week ago. I don’t trust these people anymore. Not even a signed contract is enough.

It's actually smart for RA to get that "news" out there as they can then point the finger back at the IPRC if they can't come to an agreement.

I’m taking this on face value - it is good news that they have solved a major sticking point in the IPRC discussions and (very importantly) avoided a massive disincentive for up and coming Australian players joining the new Force.

I also agree with a couple of posts above that allowing eligibility for Aussies in the off-shore based IPRC clubs would have been a bridge too far for RA and created more leakage risk.

It’s an important step forward in the Force being reborn
