KHunt caught in possession of drugs again

WALLABIES star Karmichael Hunt has been charged with cocaine possession, after being allegedly caught by police in a Brisbane car park.

It is understood Hunt, 31, was arrested with another man about 3am today in McLachlan St, Fortitude Valley.

His high-profile lawyer Adam Magill said an incident happened this morning and his client was arrested.

“An incident involving Karmichael Hunt occurred which resulted in his arrest,” he said.

“At this stage no further instructions have been taken.

“There were two males involved and there has been a subsequent charge of possession. They have been charged conjointly.”

What a flog. The bloke has young kids and is throwing it away for the sake of self raising flour.

Australian rugby continues to stumble from one stuff up to another. Can just imagine Cheika’s reaction when he got the news

When KHunt is found guilty - as he will be - surely this should be enough to convince RA that these extremely high cost NRL converts have little to offer our game.

Who knows what KHunt has cost RA and the Reds but this cost and the cost of the expanded squads (especially the Rebels) would have gone a long way towards covering the cost of the Western Force out to 2020 - especially as Forrest was prepared to cover any losses to RugbyWA over that period.

Grass roots rugby have been robbed of funding due the likes of such poor decisions - and the high cost of paying out contracts to bring players back from Europe.

Please can we go back to rewarding players who come up through Club Rugby, have the right values reinforced from the get go, and who play for the love of the game??

I well remember the story that came out of the Wallabies changing room when talking about player payments while on Spring Tours.
Some notable Wallabies, including a past captain, were of the view that no play no pay.
It seemed that Hodgo expressed the view was that he'd play for the Wallabies for zero $ as it was an honour and privilege to play for his country. (it certainly sounds like something that Hodgo would say!)

RA - get back to basics and your core values of Passion, Integrity, Discipline, Respect and Teamwork
(It would be even better if the RA Board showed these occasionally)
Leave the prima donnas and code switchers to the other sporting codes.

Wow!! I was totally unaware that Ali Williams, James O'Connor, Matt Stevens, Justin Harrison, Michael Lipman, Alex Crockett and Andrew Higgins were ex-Rugby League players. And, according to GIGS, I'm the resident expert. Go figure.

I don't have a problem with your opinion of Rugby League players. Up to you. But your premise has little to do with your conclusion. Cocaine - and rec drugs in general - is a societal problem. As we all know. Associating any particular sport with that in isolation is just illogical.

I believe I couldn't give a stuff. There are bigger problems in aussie rugby that whether an overpaid "superstar" gets jailed for some blow.

Let's try the fact that the entire organisation is dysfunctional.
