Call me a cynic, but the more spineless of our Australian leaders have a propensity for hiring women to senior roles so that at the first sign of trouble they can be unceremoniously thrown under a passing bus; only to be replaced by someone from the old boys club who they wanted in the role in the first place. I back this up with absolutely no evidence at all.

That being said, having dealt with mungos and kiwi netballers, rugby should be a cakewalk for Raelene. Good luck.

Good they're thinking about it as I imagine that makes it more likely the IPRC will be approved.

The maths is slightly off though: 5 NZ teams + 4 existing Australian teams + Sunwolves + Western Force + 5 IPRC teams = 16 teams.

They might cut the Western Force to bring it down to 15...
