Am SO...... sick to death of everyone picking over the bones of the Force - I refuse to acknowledge that we won't get our boys back, just wish we could hear some positive news on the IPRC going ahead. I believe Wessels plan was to keep as many of the guys together to be ready for a comeback! I'm hoping Twiggy & & Hodgo are laying on the pressure to those Bastard RA! Having put so much work into the IPRC setup so far I don't believe Twiggy would walk away, if anything he will dig his heels in even more to get it to succeed. It has to, to give any way forward for Aus rugby in the future, let alone WA otherwise it will die nationally. The RA need to get rid of Clyne, Papworth and the ol brigade if there is to be any kind of progress. Have a feeling in my bones that the postponed January outing will be the timing for a major positive announcement!

I notice that we have a new Minister of Sport in Senator Bridget McKenzie, Deputy Nationals Leader, who represents Bendigo in Victoria, so I can guess where her loyalties lay in the Rebels vs Force cull.

Still I will send he a polite email and congratulate her and point her at the findings of the senate inquiry and suggests she has a chat with Linda Reynolds as well

Previous Sports Minister is from Victoria and backed the Inquiry. Vic also has a Labor Government.

Re de Clyne that is why I put out the petition. Relying a lot on the good people here and other sites so far. It has definitely gone to people in Sydney and Brisbane as I can download the signatories. Petition is addressed to the RA and runs for 12 months.

As for the IPRC that could be tied in with the RUPA CBA negotiations. It is clear to me that they want the IPRC and can play the strike card.

Lads and Ladettes has anyone seen the Foxsports documentary about the Nudgee College 1st XV? To me that is fantastic to finally see schoolboys Rugby promoted in Australia. The dinosaur school boards outside of Nudgee think that you can't play televised Schoolboys Rugby yet you can get sponsorship, hyperbaric chambers and various programs for five competitive matches a year.

It is ridiculous I remember switching on the tv on a Saturday morning there would be a replay of the schools Rugby League match from the day before. The likes of Patrician Brothers Fairfield, St Gregory's Campbelltown, Woodlawn up in Lismore would be regularly on the tv. You knew the league players before they made the NRL.

I recommended anyone watch the schoolboy matches online from SA and Ireland (Schools Cups) and you see how well presented schools Rugby is presented on tv. Paarl Boys High v Paarl Gym get around 25,000 each year. Super Sport put up promos for the matches and interview past players. Foxsports and Onion TV need to do that in Australia.

There's a Perth boy in that Nudgee First XV only in Year 10 Raesjan Potia. Already kicks off two steps off the tee. Parents travel across the country to watch him play.

Absolutely still up to the individual. The problem is the Christmas break despite Rugby never sleeping there is very little journalism going on.

Don't think that Foxsports and the Roar have put up an affiliated story in relation to the Ruan and Johan Ackermann allegations.

Speaking of the individual I am going to give the NZRU a serve and volley in an email asking them to explain why they didn't use their right to veto to block Australia bringing in a fifth side in 2011. They knew Aus Rugby was broke (so O'Neill sold it to a consortium), cost cutting and didn't have the player base for an extra side (hence the 10 imports). They used dilution of talent base as a reason to stop the fourth side which was pushed before 2006 so why didn't they use it in 2011.

Last time I wrote to them many moons ago they responded.

Someone has to do it during this seance. The NZRU have sat through this period and said sweet fa. Their partners are at war with each other, one of them is shipping off teams to Europe behind their back while they talk about Amazon, etc. Amazon is bloody well useless to sell a sport when you have no one to play against. All this shit wouldn't have got to the point had they used their right to veto to block the Rebels entry to Super Rugby, get your house in order and leave SA Rugby to themselves.

The English clubs pulled the same crap as the RA are doing with Super Rugby and the IPRC when they decided to do back handed deals on behalf of everyone else to benefit 'European' Rugby. This led to the karma they got last week with no clubs winning, not filling the sponsorship book and split tv deals which has led to late announcement of matches. European Rugby can sort itself out eventually when it gets rid of Mark McCafferty the de Clyne of English club Rugby.

Wasn't that something to do with the fact that NZRU wanted the team in Melbourne in the first place, which is why they blocked the initial bid for Perth's entry back in 2001?

O'Neill wanted to get a team in Melbourne before he left to Soccer but couldn't get it through Sanzar due to it diluting Australia's player base and not having a national competition to develop players beyond the grassroots. Basically didn't want Super Rugby being used as Australia's domestic comp which is what happened when the Rebels came in.

In 2011 NZRU fell for the pup that more domestic derbies leading to more eye balls with the Melbourne market added in. The RA were prepared to send the Force to the SA conference as a plan B if they couldn't get the Rebels ahead of the Kings. F..ked or what.
