As the panellists said it opens up the draw nicely for Tonga too - looks like Lebanon in the quarters and then England in the semis. A spot in the final is eminenyly achievable.

Sure is. Anything like today's efforts makes them a good shot at England. Long as they don't lose focus against the Lebs next week.

I wish he'd commit to an opinion though. "Australia deserves to start favourites here I think." Gee really going out on a limb there Jim. He's been doing that all tournament

Haven't seen a replay so it's still a dud call.

NIB sponsorship conflict or something - I see Melb's the same. http://www.rlwc2017.com/fixtures

The rugby and soccer World Cups are both strict about not using sponsors' names for venues - I assume this is the same situation (even though rugby league is more lenient in other areas such as allowing sponsors' logos on jerseys).

Good to see so many in the crowd with Force gear on - surreal that they weren't there to watch any Force players play

Was a good day out today, wasn't a full house though, so seems like RL has the same problem that union has in Perth - generally needs the New Zealanders to up the numbers.

Yeah, saw quite a few. Good day out. Nice to find a half decent mid strength on sale too.

It was just shy of 15000. With what was on offer I reckon the IRLF would chalk it up as a win. They must be extremely happy with how its going overall really.
