Pulver like de Clyne (despite lying in front of the Committee twice) still doesn't get the concept of Senate Inquiries.

Potentially, but Jesus Christ, what a way to go about it. Against a union they are supposed to govern no less.

Hansie and John, please can we look at seceding from the ARU and joining up with an Asian rugby union. Enough is enough.
It's back on the table as far as I'm concerned. I had Just finished my Senate Enquiry rebuttal to Clyne's musings when I read Taylor's article. Of course we knew about Pulver's threats but stunned its hit the press. We've been trying to negotiate a sensible outcome. Not making progress. This really helps nobody but it has reminded me what utter tossers fill their ranks.

    Just don't pay them.
Let them commence legal proceedings to recover the money, that will be good publicity for the game and the ARU.
They let the Rebels get away with not paying their debts to the ARU

I think the difference is perhaps this payment was requested to be made by the courts so not much wiggle room if the ARU decide to be jerks about it.

The childish sulking and vindictive wording reminded me of an article about how to spot a certain personality type in the workplace. Some of the traits were...

    Lack of empathy.
    Feel no remorse.
    Can't admit guilt.
    Egocentric.
    Lie constantly.
    Emotionally shallow.
    Are easily angered.
    Don't respect their commitments.
    They play the victim.
    They are overconfident.
    They will never change.

Bond University studies put the figure at 21% of corporate leaders. The general population 1%

    Just sayin'.

If that is the case it should be in the ruling

There you go folks, an arbitration (not court) for 4 hours, and a hearing before a judge for 2 hours costs $1m for them and what...$600k for us? Not bad work if you can get it.

    On another matter, either:
    Refuse to pay
Launch another action over false pretense (it's now out there)
    Fold RugbyWA, start WARugby
    Mail a cheque for $1
    All of the above

I'm astounded at how dumb they have been by not waiting until November 14 to launch this one.

Do they not realise that they've just been savaged in three consecutive public hearings of a senate inquiry and the report is yet to be written.

This report appears to be going to say something along the lines of "the western Australian rugby community has been the most maliciously underfunded in the country and the Melbourne rebels have been the recipient of the dividend. The committee finds all of the terms of Reference to be in the favour of WA and some actions will be recommended"

Do they think that presenting Linda Reynolds, who is one of the sharpest operators I've ever seen, a public statement like this is going to Help?

    They're not incompetent, they've delusional.

This is what happens when you know you are in the wrong and can't admit that you have f..k.d up. Soccer Australia behaved this way when they were under the gun in front of the Senate, the FA are also doing it with the UK Government in their Parliamentary Inquiry.

The Senate could easily file contempt charges against Clyne as he refused to answer questions and told the committee that he wasn't going to answer questions about the Imperium deal.

The know it all Sydney folk posting on Green and Gold and of course TWAS are saying that the WA Government threatening to sue the ARU is hot air as there is no binding agreement. How do they know what agreements the Gov't has and the ARU have told lies about their dealings with them.

They were probably put on the table at a meeting in their chambers. Nobody can recall who put them there, but nobody stopped them being photocopied. Shhhhh it's confidential.
