Should have asked him to resign. He is a qualified medical practitioner which costs more than a Imperium unit trust to obtain go and fix people Brett instead of screwing them.

    My response

    Dear Dr Robinson,

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my email.

Reading your reply, it seems that you have not considered the findings of the Senate enquiry that were released on Wednesday. In that it was clearly said that the way the ARU came to its decision to cull the Force was not “open, transparent or objective” but in fact was “somewhat of a charade” and that millions of dollars was poured into the Melbourne Rebels. The Senate enquiry also recommended that the sale of the Rebels, firstly to Andrew Cox and then later to the VRU, and also the ARU’s 2016 accounts should be looked at by the relevant authority. The culling of the Force was nothing to do with team performance, financial position, team sponsorships, memberships, travel or anything else the ARU came up with and everything about cronyism and “jobs for the boys”. Hopefully the true situation will be revealed in the weeks to come.

I sat through the two days of public hearings held here in Perth and I was able to see how arrogant and disrespectful certain representatives of the ARU were to members of the Senate Committee and to rugby in WA in general. I now understand that Rugby WA has been forced into voluntary receivership by the vindictive actions of the ARU in not accepting an offer for payment of court costs. Please don’t patronise me by saying the ARU supports WA rugby, it is doing its utmost to kill it. I have to say though that we will not let that happen without a fight!

Perhaps you are right in saying that the Wallabies should not be the focus of my anger, but they are the face of the ARU and so until there are major changes in the board and how it is structured I will not support them.

    Regards,

As the GM of the ARU High performance Unit I was intimately involved in the establishment of the Force so have a deep affinity to Rugby in WA.

Unfortunately however over recent years the on field performance of our Super Rugby teams has been declining to the point where this year we did not beat a NZ team. This lack of on field success ultimately has had a significant impact on the commercial viability of our Super teams. We as the governing body of our sport had little choice but to seek to consolidate our talent to drive an improvement in performance that is directly correlated to commercial sustainability. The decision to go to 4 teams was endorsed by the members of our game and unfortunately for our WA rugby community that team was the Force. The decision was based on the information we had at the time and was driven by the financial position of the 2 organisation being considered for removal.

Whilst I understand this means little to you as you grieve the loss of your team it was the basis for where we got to. As for the pathway, we will continue to support the Perth Spirit and I am working directly with Andrew Forrest to see if we can't get the IPRC off the ground which will see a WA team.

Can I ask you to reconsider your support of the Wallabies as they represent this great country of ours and all that the game of rugby stands for and should not be the focus of your anger.

I would say to them that the behaviour of your coach and captain is a genuine reflection on the people who run the game in Australia. Not accountable and plead ignorance.

They are not the focus, they are the collateral damage.

I haven't received a reply from the RA as of yet. They gave me a case number in their auto reply.

I also sent the same letter to Paul McLean and John Eales. No reply from McLean but spent about an hour on the phone with Mr Eales. At least he had the guts to speak direct to me

It’s his judgement I question, not his courage.

If he truly wanted to show the leadership qualities he used on the pitch he would either resign or tell the likes of de Clyne that you f..ked, got it wrong and your lies have been exposed. Stop being a yes man and he doesn't need the RA, the RA needs him.

Eales is a spent force, a dead man walking, a lame duck, he has made his deathbed and all he needs to do now is lie in it. I will never forgive him or the board he resided in.
