World Rugby Has anyone heard their take on the saga,,

I have been looking thru some of the laws and requirements of how World Rugby works and what they can do to help WF in getting Twiggies League up and running,, I want to move forward and after chatting to a friend who was very high up in NZRU back in the early 2000 . His take on this debacle is that the new league has a good chance as he thinks the ARU have handled this in a very unprofessional manner, He said I should read articles from World Rugby re this ,, One thing that does stand out is the World Rugby,,, Spirit of Rugby,,,,http://www.worldrugby.org/spirit-of-rugby ...Also Interesting reading is the World rugby investment brochure,,

All in all I do think its time to move on and back Twiggy and let the others deal with the ECRU as I am sure World Rugby won't be impressed with the ARU present saga and how its been handled.

One thing is for sure, World Rugby would not have turned up their nose at $50m. For that matter, not a single sport in the world would....except a bankrupt ARU

Cut and paste from world rugby
Traditionally World Rugby has been a regulator and an investor in world rugby. It has successfully steered the growth and development of the global game to record levels of participation through investment driven by its flagship tournament, Rugby World Cup, and strong governance worldwide.

World Rugby now wishes to innovate and inspire through participation, engagement, education and regulation, harnessing the sport’s character-building values to excite, engage and inform new audiences in existing and new rugby markets.

World Rugby Vision: Rugby - a sport for all, true to its values

World Rugby Mission: Growing the global rugby family

World Rugby Core Values: Inherent in everything we do are our values of integrity, respect, solidarity, passion and discipline.

I have written a letter to WORLD RUGBY.. I got an automated reply last Tuesday saying due to the large number of emails recieved it may take a while for a reply.. I am tempted to phone them to get direct email to Brett Gosper , Bill Beaumont.. and Brett Robinson.. I think they may have known about the Culling of the Force but I am not sure they know boths of the story.. Maybe Hansie could advise on this..

Clyne and Gosper - both Melbourne old boys to be specific... But as Alison said, Bill Beaumont should keep impartiality in check.

Good evening everyone ,, I made a phone call to World Rugby to ask what their take is on the situation here in WA,, I spoke to DAVID CARRIGY HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS( the reason I phoned was I had not had a reply to my email I sent 6 weeks ago,, Yes he received it but never opened it and ignored it as he did a search and found it) ,, He said he had meet with Andrew Forrest and had received all the correspondence that has been taking place and said that they the ARU were doing what is best for rugby as a national body.. The ARU were trying to get the best deal to make sure rugby in Australia nationally was in the best interest for all..I tried not to laugh at him on the phone,, He then went on to say that world rugby could not intervene in the matter as it was a domestic issue and that all us fans should direct all correspondence to the ARU and rugby WA .... As the only people who can sort this problem is them..... I then went on to mention the Senate inquiry and he was not aware of the findings,, I did then mention the recommendations from the Senate inquiry by Senator Linda Reynolds was that the ASIC should investigate the financial dealings between the ARU and MRRU ,, He then asked who were the ACIS ,, I explained and he was a little shocked... I hope he now goes and does some investigating into what i put in my email and sees that maybe there is a problem down under...

He must be living in a cloud as it was a domestic issue that was tabled to a cross border competition called Super Rugby that they signed off on.

To dismiss emails is typical RA like behaviour.
