I am hoping this whole shit fight will be settled sooner than later. When Clyne and his co-conspirators are gone and looked back on as the arseholes who ALMOST killed the game. As much as I'm pissed off now, I want the bridges rebuilt one day.
Hopefully I'll live to see it.
Seems a fair few here. But that’s Spot on Shas. A small dose of perspective is always handy. The situation is what it is. We no longer have a super rugby team, the senate can’t bring it back. But hopefully there can be some justice over the way it was done. And then get on with things.

Unfortunately it could take two to three years to address the ARU's structural problems and that is a long time in Rugby. Particularly when there a future options out there which aren't being actively looked at by the ARU for the Force and the staff that are still there. They haven't even got a signed CBA beyond December 31st and there are potential grounds for strike and class action (based upon what I have seen written by people with Workcover experience).

The ARU has retrenched plenty of good people working for Rugby WA and future opportunities with Twiggy may take longer if this drags out. In the mean time a skeleton staff remain in RugbyWA trying to administer and develop in an under appreciated state by the ARU.

Some people are Western Australians first and Australians second and act as such.

Time heals all wounds but I struggle to see me ever supporting the Wallabies again. For example, would a Scot support the Lions if the governing body decided to exclude the Scots from being eligible even if it did technically represent them? I would think not.

I don't care if the board goes because the damage has been done, giving our team back is a start but that is the ONLY solution in my mind that may begin to mend those bridges.

Given the team for the infinite future rather than have to worry about restructure and tv deals every five years. That will also please the Government no end. The kids will get their dream and the said for their future down the line. Their taxpayer facilities are also guaranteed use.

And what is the alternative if the ARU says "NO", we just take it? How do we move on without a pro team?

I said IF the ARU dont sanction this comp, that leave it entirely in their court.

There is a difference between going ahead with an "unsanctioned" competition and disaffiliating from the ARU. In any event I don't see much point in RugbyWA making any public announcement on what they will do in the event approval is withheld. The short description of that is painting yourself into a corner. I know some posters on here (obviously with more knowledge of IRB regulations than I) have said there are a lot of pitfalls in going ahead without approval. I reckon the people making the arrangements will have thought that through.

We need our IP and name back first and before we piss off the RA knobs. Hopefully that negotiation will conclude in a couple of weeks.

Absolutely he was over analysing the financial analysis that went in to the submissions and stating that they were written by plodders. Pretty rich considering his bosses and one of them ran sorry ruined a bank doesn't know their own financial figures and reports.
