    Bledisloe Two 2017

    Haylett-Petty Back for Bledisloe Two

By David Berrie on Thu 24th August 2017

Qantas Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has made three changes to his starting fifteen ahead of the second Bledisloe Cup Test on Saturday night at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin.

Dane Haylett-Petty has overcome a biceps injury and will start in place of Curtis Rona, who moves to the reserves bench while Tevita Kuridrani will wear the 13 jersey in his 49th Test, with Samu Kerevi out of the matchday 23.

In the other change to the starting side, Rob Simmons moves into the second row with Rory Arnold amongst the reserves.

Michael Cheika will confirm his bench after Friday's Captain's Run with Lopeti Timani bracketed alongside one-Test rookie Jack Dempsey.

The Wallabies will be chasing victory in the second Test to keep their Bledisloe Cup hopes alive after a 34-54 defeat at the hands of New Zealand last weekend in Sydney.

The last time Australia tasted victory in New Zealand was in Dunedin - that coming back in 2001 at the now defunct Carisbrook, with Saturday's Test undercover at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

The only previous meeting at Forsyth Barr Stadium was in 2013, with New Zealand running out 41-33 victors.

The Bledisloe Cup will be screened LIVE, ad-break free during play and in HD on FOX SPORTS 501 from 5.00pm AEST. Fans can also LIVE stream the match on Foxtel Now (for Foxtel subscribers).

FOX SPORTS will show every game of The Rugby Championship LIVE, with no ad-breaks during play and in HD.

All Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship Test matches will be screened live and free in High Definition on TEN and WIN Network and on tenplay.com.au from 5.00pm AEST in all markets.

TRC #2: All Blacks Team v Wallabies

The All Blacks team to play the Wallabies in Round 2 of the Rugby Championship (and Bledisloe Cup) at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin contains three changes.

The matchday 23 features just three changes from last week's team, all in the forwards. Hooker Dane Coles returns to the front row for what will be his 50th Test, with Codie Taylor moving to the bench. Prop Kane Hames comes onto the bench replacing Wyatt Crockett, while Scott Barrett is the reserve lock, in for Luke Romano, who has a minor foot niggle.

All Blacks Head Coach Steve Hansen said: "It's been great to be back home in New Zealand and we've had a great week's preparation here in Dunedin. Whilst we were very happy with the way we played for periods of the game in the first Test, there were also moments where we weren't so crash hot. However, this is a new week and we're well aware that we'll have to be better in all areas of our game, and we've concentrated on those areas we want to improve. Once again, a good start will be important."

Steve Hansen said the team was again looking forward to playing at Forsyth Barr Stadium: "Playing under the roof in Dunedin means we should see a high-speed game, which should suit both teams and create an entertaining match that fans won't want to miss. I know the team itself is looking forward to Saturday as it's another opportunity to grow and develop as a group."

Is Cheika TRYING to lose the series?

and some have the temerity to accuse Kiwis in the Australian rugby community of deliberate sabotage.

Even New South Welshmen are calling for Hannigan's head because he's completely ineffective, yet we take out one of about three forwards who were (apparently) making an impact to replace him with SIMMONS??????

    Foley still on the park??????

Kiwi bench to hit the field at the 20 minute mark and snooze their way to yet another Bledisloe Cup.

Rona has been benched for not being able to cover up the mistakes of Foley, Beale and Kerevi.....pretty harsh IMHO.

    Rona's not a winger

Hang on, DHP isn't a winger either. It's not like Folau played like a world class Fullback!

There is a silver lining for me. Having sworn off Test matches (permanently if Rugby WA don't get the win) I'll be spared watching this one as well.

True dat, but it was where our rocket scientist of a coach selected him.

I do agree with your post, Ned Hannigan is a donkey.

Classic Cheika selections again, and no doubt we'll see the same 'tactics' (or lack thereof).

Looking forward to the AB's not taking their foot off the gas and giving us a proper thrashing. AB's by 70+

Will be followed by a sound beating by the Boks at an empty stadium in Perth, and then hopefully the calls for change may be too loud to ignore

Simmons becomes a tah and boom
Back in team. This is a guy who couldn't make starter for his super rugby team.

Persisting with hanigan. Moore still around.

    Depressing stuff.

kiwi mates sending test with links to the two teams with nothing else but a ROTFL emoji.

Have to agree the AB backrow will decimate the Wallabies.

So we strengthen the back line but weaken the first 8.. hmmm would like to see this weekends game plan. In Izzys defence he was done in by Kerevi last weekend and left high and dry as hed lost trust in his centre which was why he kept turning in and getting beaten on the outside. DhP has a much higher defensive work rate and should plug that hole nicely
