You know, I'd really like to see that spread sheet. As far as Rugby goes, I could do with a laugh ATM.

Clyne actually interviewed for a job with Twiggy once. You guessed it, he didn't get the gig. A little history at play on the sidelines here.

Exclusive: ARU Snubs Twiggy’s $50 Million Offer

Well readers, there was never any logic previously in the Australian Super Rugby saga. And there is certainly none now.

Your correspondent understands the ARU has just knocked back a funding offer from billionaire Andrew Forrest which some close to the action estimate totalled as much as $50 million. If that is true, then it’s just mind boggling stuff, in anyone’s language.

Twiggy flew to Adelaide this morning with Geoff Stooke and John Welborn to table his offer to ARU chairman Cameron Clyne and his fellow ARU board members John Eales and Brett Robinson. Their meeting has just finished.

Of course Clyne himself would have been the first casualty of any deal with Twiggy, given his previous pledge to resign if the ARU was unable to cull an Australian Super Rugby team.

So unless sanity prevails with the ARU overnight, hostilities will resume in the NSW Supreme Court tomorrow as RugbyWA’s legal team seeks to overturn the arbitration ruling which triggered the ARU’s move to axe the Force last Friday week. Stay tuned…

Twiggy needs to have a chat with Alan Joyce and get him to pull their sponsorship from ARU - no point a national airline sponsoring a non-national game - that would be the next nail in the coffin.

If this is true it's such B.S and show financial has bugger all to do with it! I think it's all Clyne and his ego. Please please please win tmr Rugby WA. That should also help with the senate enquiry calls!

Knew it - unbelievable!! Clyne is terrified of losing control- or control that he mistakenly thinks he has. This is all about his own power plays & politics, not the good of the game or Aus rugby. He's way too arrogant to ever negotiate !

Unless Clyne has given brown paper bags to the NSW Supreme Court well, and believes the ARU have won that one.

Surely anything as big as this would have to go to the board for a vote. I am sure that as far as the media goes Twiggy will give an indication of the offer and what transpired. It's not like the ARU would be transparent.
