Thread: Who's going to cancel their foxtel subscription like me?

    I shut canned my foxtel in April when i first heard the news. Watched hd feeds off the net of force games after that and will never watch another wallaby game again. Socceroos for the world cup!!

    Just had a long rant at the Foxtel guy as he asked my why I was disconnecting. Guess where he was based? Yep, Melbourne. And guess who he knew absolutely nothing about? Yep, the Melbourne Rebels!!!!!!!

    Boy oh boy did he draw the short straw when he picked up my call! Poor bugger kept trying to stick to his script, offering me this and that for this and that discount. In the end I had to tell him I was putting the phone down. I managed not to swear and told him I knew it wasn't his fault, but apart from that I really let him have it. Hope they were "recording the call for coaching purposes".

    They are partly to blame in this!! They are in the driving seat to the ARU. Without them no deal they should have said No Way to cutting the Force.. I want to send a strongly worded email to this effect but is there any point!

    That's what I told him! Said they had got into bed with the ARU and were therefore tainted with the same stink of corruption.

    But the Force is the only reason I have Foxtel.

    I downgraded to $10 a month package (got to havw some tv)Canelled sport and everything else but keep the record feature....and just access to general channels.

    I asked them to pass on my disgust..

    The deed is done - only took 25mins of which 20mins was spent on hold. Went through all the special offers & told them (politely) to stick each one away somewhere dark!

    I don't think I was the first person she'd spoken too about that.

    Having worked in the Call Centre "Industry" for just over 10 years. I am very glad that you acknowledged that it wasn't his fault.

    Its partly because of this work that I ended up with Major Depression and unable to hold full time employment for nearly 10 years.

    I understand everyone is angry and upset. But, please do not take it out on the person on the other end of the phone - for 40 grand a year they do not deserve it.

    Unfortunately my hubby uses the sport channel for his racing ....his only form of income at the moment
