Of course they are both confident. Way to state the obvious. Otherwise why run up massive court costs. Well at least from the ARUs point of view it's to save face and because they are boardroom bullies who thought the minnow would do as it was told.

Just posted on GAGR : (3 different posts) Make of it what you will.
    Apparently from ASIC

"Change of office holders (I went for the four pager)
    Out: Peter Sidwell, Michelle Williams
In: Tim North, Owain Stone, Lyndsey Cattermole, Robert Dalziel"

    Braveheart81,
Looks like the change has happened. Hello, news masters of Victorian Rugby. "

"Second document - Change of shareholding from Imperium Sports Management to Victorian Rugby Union Inc. Cost the VRU $1, so looks like PUT option was used, and debts cleared.

Third - just a change of address. Nothing fancy.

So, it's happened lads. New owners. "

So then the Rebels have made themselves a team bogged in to the side skirts and nearly impossible to get out.

Yep confirmed it is coming from ASIC. Scroll down to see it and if anyone has some spare money to see the details just purchase the document....

the relevant sections have been copied and pasted onto GAGR.

As Val pulled across - the VRU are now the proud owners of a debt free melb rebels.

(Well they were, until you know, the first seconds passed by. Debt is now accumulating again already based on passed trends)

I have downloaded the docs ($19 each). I can confirm that 11,625,000 shares passed from Imperium to VRU for $1. New directors are North, Stone, Cattermole and Dalziel. Registered address AAMI Park.

What does this mean for us??

So, would the easiest case at this point be to get rid of the Rebels?

Despite what the media says I can't see how this doesn't weaken their case to exist. It went from costing the ARU $10+million to buy Cox out to being able to fold a cleanskin franchise.

Can't be true if the ARU had to clear that. The chairman said just a few days ago that he knew nothing about any transfer of the Rebels licence. Now, would he tell porkies?

SURELY NOT!? There's no evidence to suggest that he's only ever been anything but 100% honest with us.

Interesting- selling shares to transfer ownership doesnt alway allow for the transfer of assets (in this case a license ) you can sell a pub but that doesn't always mean the liquor license will Be granted.

Also for the lawyers accountants out there can you sell a business that's is potentially not a going concern ?

And now no longer "privately owned" which was their catchcry to not able to be axed....

The VRU is a member union and must follow the process of the ARU , IMHO...
