    In brief.....no

Longer version....the Rebels have always been safe, even after Clarke resigned. Anything said to the contrary, such as Patsy Clone suggested on the Day of Infamy...is smokescreen, obfuscation or downright lies. Fuck it, just make that downright lies

It's 5:30 on the East Coast so unless the arbitrator has informed the parties (so they can put out a Victory press release) I wouldn't have thought we would hear anything today.

As I said, it's not a Government body that will release it, so it's not strictly bound to business hours.

But, yes, probably a bit late for today, now,

It's after 6 pm in Sydney.

There is no fairness in any of that. The ARU have screwed you over time and time again - I understand where you are coming from and now I hope we can (read me and you) hold them to account and will continue to expose them for the liars and incompetent managers that they are.

    b) many people who sit of boards for companies/organisations come from similar backgrounds and so often mix in their own social circle.
    c) being members on the same board doesn't necessarily make them friends (eg, Pulver and Stooke!).
    d) going to the same school or playing for the same team (even if it was at the same time) also doesn't necessarily make them friends.

However, there is a certain security in giving jobs to people you know, even if they may not be friends or may not be the best person for the job. If you know them you can presume how they will react in certain situations; whereas an unknown person may react in an unknown way. 'Jobs for the boys' is more than just giving an old mate or the son of an old mate a position so they have an income, it's about knowing that you can be reasonably assured that any decisions which are taken are in your best interests; and if those decisions go the wrong way you can always have 'a quiet word'.

So Clarke, Gray, Cox, Billings, Ling, etc, may not be friends, but may simply move in similar circles and thought they saw in each other a shared purpose (be that a love of rugby or a love of screwing money out of the ARU - I'll leave for others to debate!)
And just to close the circle of friendship, I forgot to mention Gary Gray's foray into TVN with his good mate Peter Sidwell, who cleared about $12m from that deal -Best Bets and other racing publications - and Sidwell was one of Cox's close advisors, on the board until Friday.

Puller could be on is way over to say sorry for the mess he has caused and to offer an unequivocal apology for all the stress brought on us over these last 48 to 72 hours.

Well he did go over the Melbourne to say they were all good when this originally started while we got the henchmen.

He seems to disappear when hard questions are asked so you may be on the money.

A press conference with Pulver talking about how excited he is for the future of the Force going forward and how the ARU wanted it all along.

Why would he come here if the ARU lost the Abritration?

He wouldn't be coming over to blow his trumpet in the face of the losing opposition now would he?

If he is here, it must be good news for us IMHO otherwise he would have stayed safe in the Heartlands and chirped his victory speech from St Leonards.

Let's hope his first stop is at the bakery to collect the humble pie we'll see him devour at the presser later today
