Thank you was out at my partners work leaving party getting the hairy eyeball for looking at my phone. But be buggered it was worth the stoney silence in the car on the way home. Well at least it will be when they arrive.

Ordered for my son and I, a bargain but even better is that proceeds go to the Future Force and a charity of Hodgo's choosing.

It will be a jumper that will be worn proudly

I'm tossing up between wearing, or working out how to get signed & framed.
Will look great on the wall next to my 06 away jersey signed by sharpie & the first home win print

    More in the West today:

Western Force’s Matt Hodgson a mighty presence, on and off the field:

Western Force flanker Matt Hodgson announced he will retire at the end of the season, drawing the curtains on a career that stands as definitive proof that you don’t need to win a title to be a champion.
In 12 seasons at the Force, Hodgo has been club captain, three-time player of the year and a four-time Force Man of the Year, the latter is an award that recognises a player who embodies the team’s values on and off the field.
A selfless teammate, whose uncompromising brand of rugby often came at a significant physical cost, Hodgo made the most of his international opportunities when the Wallabies came knocking.
Hodgson, who celebrated his 36th birthday yesterday, has been equally tireless off the field as a qualified mental health first aider and advocate for Livin, which raises awareness about mental illness and suicide prevention.
Hodgo put those skills to good use this year providing counselling to teammates, as the club faces an uncertain future due to the ARU’s inept attempts to axe an Australian Super Rugby franchise.
Hodgson’s wife, Jo, said it has been the toughest year of his career.
“You can see the weight that it has put on Hodgo,” she said.
After speaking with the Force’s legal team, Jo believed the club had a “very, very strong” case to remain in Super Rugby, despite reports to the contrary from East Coast media outlets.
Hodgson intends staying on with the Force in a coaching capacity and will juggle that with his charitable work, raising two kids and running the couple’s third gym, F45 Subiaco, due to open August 12.
With retirement looking at least as hectic as Hodgo’s playing days, Jo can’t even look forward to her hubbie coming home from work sans fresh bruises and stitches from injuries sustained on the field.
“He has broken his nose 33 times, so I think the damage has already been done,” she joked.
As a Force foundation player and exemplary servant of the game, Hodgo is a fan favourite, and we bet the Sea of Blue will jump at the chance to secure a limited edition celebration jersey paying tribute to the man.
The jersey features all of Hodgo’s 139 Super Rugby caps, as well as his awards and international appearances, the logo of his first rugby team — NSW’s Avoca Beach Sharks — and that of Livin, which will receive part proceeds from the jersey sales.

I'm sure everyone is going to want them signed, perhaps Hodgo should just sign them all before they are sent/collected.

I wonder if we could collectively buy one, get it signed by the squad and then auction it off as part of our wider efforts? I'm sure we could rope hansie in to assist.

I've just sent Hansie a message seeing if it is possible to get the team to sign it. Rather than contribute any more $, I was thinking we take it out of the money we have raised already.

    Some questions for you all.

    - What size?
    - Should we frame it or hang it in some way?
    - Any other ideas?

    A

    - if framed it doesn't matter what size
    - frame it
    - I know a guy who'd likely do a rool good deal on framing

Yeah, it does. I got an XL signed by the 07 squad and the bloody thing in a frame is huge.

If you are buying it to hang on the wall - Get a little one.
