They might be relatively quiet once Alison's article about how much has been spent on the Rebels comes to light...

    7 Hardwick/Koteka
    8 McCalman/Nasairani
    9 Louwrens
    10 Lance
    11 Newsome
    12 Hodge
    13 Rona
    14 Peni
    15 DHP

only my opinion though...Toby Smith might make the bench Stirzaker might be good for injury cover but he'd be behind both Louwrens and Ruru IMHO

Honestly, apart from Hodge and maybe Koroibete I can't really see anybody at the Rebels that the Force might want.

Hang on, I forgot about Sef Naivalu...he'd surely crack a wing bracket with Newsome!

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

If anyone wants to wind up the rebel supporters on GAGR you can always add a few names to the list from the prem grade (currently not in the state so no idea who and what is going on) below and ask for a state of origin game. Be interesting to see how many recognised players they could actually put up.

Western Australian current state of origin

    1. Cruze Ah-Nau
    2. Anaru Rangi
    3. Kieran Longbottom
    4. Jake Ball

I think we should get Hodge, Timani, Naivalu and McMahon if McCalman is off for longer - from the Rebels. This injury filled season has proven the importance of having a numerous team.

Here goes (with this team we proceed to next year's playoffs):
    1. Faulkner
    2. TPN
    3. Ainsley/ Daly
    4. Timani
    5. Coleman
    6. Ross HP/ Cottrell
    7. Hardwick
    8. McCalman (or McMahon is the dog is still injured)
    9. Lawrens
    10. Lance
    11. Naivalu
    12. Hodge
    13. Rona
    14. Peni
    15. Dane HP

    16. Daly/ Ainsley
    17. Cottrell/ Ross HP
    18. Cowan
    19. Philip
    20. Ruru
    21. Newsome
    22. Tessman
    23. Meaks

But what a rugby heritage, so many players I a WA state of origin team. It makes you wonder why more of them weren't selected for the wallabies. I though blankety was streets ahead of say Simmons or Skelton. And blankety was one of the best I've ever seen. Sure blankety was overshadowed by his brothers, but a great player nonetheless.

    Agreed.
This has only ever been about the ARU's P&L projections spread-sheet.

    Me too.

Right now, we are being given almost nothing on to which we can hang our hopes.
Because there is so little information (or encouragement) coming out in support of the Western Force, we are left to read and ponder on the "heap of froth and bubble [emanating] from various journos earning a quid".

Meanwhile, memories of things like Super Saturday 20 May 2017, where we sat in block E227 at nib soaked to the skin and shivering with cold, while watching the Force go down at home to Otago 55 to 6, will be hard to erase by the time Force membership renewal comes around again.

BTW, good one Scotland - well deserved.
It never feels as bad when the Wallabies go down to one of the Celtic teams.

That would make sense if they were cutting the Rebels, not only have they been a black hole since day one, they have an owner who are going to sue the ARU for damages no matter what happens. Cut em loose, take the lawsuit that would happen either way and be rid of a team that never looked like it would ever succeed.

Alternatively they let the Rebels stumble on, get a bit of money from the suit, then sue again when 2020 rolls around as they gave Cox a 20 year deal. Either way if they don't get rid of them now Cox will have multiple bites of the cherry because the ARU are morons.

Two options here as well, one is to keep fighting and pushing to get the result we want.

The other is to just give up and be miserable and watch the Force fold, this is what the ARU want and have been expecting from us since April but the fact we didn't do that is the reason why we have survived this long.

I mean, have you thought perhaps the lack coming out of RugbyWA is because they can't say anything until arbitration? I don't know the details but I suspect this would be the case, either put in place by the arbitration process or the RugbyWA lawyers. Making assumptions based on nothing doesn't help.
