    Cheetahs receive invitation to join PRO12 – report

    South African Super Rugby franchise the Cheetahs have reportedly received a formal invitation to join the PRO12.

    According to the BBC, the Bloemfontein-based outfit were approached by the PRO12 which currently comprises clubs from Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Italy.

    The pro 12 has a mid season break, I think. But apart from that it means around 12 hours flying time plus ground/air transfers every 2 weeks. Not easy.

    They've actually finished their season. The final was on the weekend just gone (same as Aviva Premiership).
