Well, there is also no point running it into the teeth of a very aggressive defense from our own tryline.

I'm not interested in a hold the ball at all costs game plan, but when they kick it has to be with purpose and effective. If it doesn't go out and buy us a whole bunch of territory with a lineout to challenge it needs to be contestable with a good chase. Anything less will be punished mercilessly.

Our strategy of trying to beat the Canes by scoring more tries than them is not working. Doughnuts on the scoreboard. Pity, for all that possession. Canes defended well though.

Think we need the finishing scrumagers on pretty early. Getting towelled at the set pieces. Hoffman is out of his depth at R & M. Either that or he doesn't understand offside. But the assistants must have their eyes painted on too.
