Read in yesterday's Australian that the ARU scuttled him returning to Worcester, felt it was important to keep him in Australia

Which means every Australian franchise has now picked at the Force carcass.

How can they do that when he has one season deal with the Reds likely to finish in July? Most teams don't hang on to players for the NRC if they aren't there the following season.

Well, at least that was the EARU's objective

He has seen the light that Toomua saw. Cheika is all about Foley and Beale. Now he has no depth.

I’m probably flogging a dead horse here but it really gets my goat to read/hear how the Wallabies are short in the hooking and scrum half departments ?? Wake up you people in RA ! TPN should never have had to go overseas and should’ve been given every opportunity no matter what to stay in Australia. Cheika should’ve been all over RA on this ....surely he would have identified the future issues . Same goes with Ryan Louwrens ... some pundit pointed out that the back up 9s in Australia don’t have the WOW factor. Louwrens had this in abundance. He should’ve been treated with kid gloves and looked after by RA at the insistence of Cheika/Kafer etc . Both now lost to Australian Rugby . Thanks a lot . This plan cutting teams has definitely worked... f.....k . Good luck in those scrums boys against Ireland. Never thought I’d be sitting on the fence in a Wallaby match .

Ton was very public with his statement that he would play force or overseas, the only option, knowing the sort of old-fashioned rugby mat tatafu is was to keep the force or wave bye bye. Former was never an option, no matter how much Cheika bleats.

Cheika is also the biggest Brown nose in aussie rugby, knows he doesn't ave to win to keep his salary, he just needs to spruik the party line I the media.

TPN was a Sydney club legend who, when he arrived in Perth, was so impressed by the local club structure that he told NSW rugby to look into how we did things. This was well before any (public) talk of cutting a side. TPN seemed to really enjoy his time here.

I'd've loved for him to have stayed, that really would have been two fingers up to the ARU with their cutting of the Force; if he'd been around WA club rugby and yet his play demanded Wallaby selection; but with all the uncertainty he needed a proper gig, and leaving for Europe, after his "Force or nothing" stance, was the best thing he could have done.

Leicester Tigers were 5th in the Premiership (same points as Newcastle in 4th, and much better points differential, but one fewer win) and TPN's had to split playing time with England hooker Tom Youngs, so he's obviously still capable of playing at a top level.

I bet he's giving Tom Youngs some pretty good tips on how to be one of the best hookers running around in the game! It's amazing how kids remember certain players in the game like TPN, Badger etc. Free marketing for the game and the dumb asses in charge can't figure it out!
