Flat Track Bullies flatten flatulent Foes.

Where does RugbyWA get its suburban rugby journos from?

The current writer has a fixed formula. It involves:

    1. Knowing last weeks results.

    2. Knowing which Force or academy players are involved in each game.

    3. Knowing which team won last time they played.

    4. Not bothering to know who the club players are, not having any knowledge whatsoever of rugby union, and not having seen or understood a game of rugby in his or her life.

    5. Having a stock of vaguely sport orientated catch phrases which may or may not have any relevance to rugby union at all.

By mixing in the information in 1,2,3 and 5 the writer concocts a sequence of words and phrases that a million monkeys, typing for a billion years, may produce, which remotely resemble an article about a game of rugby.

What a disrespectful descriptor was applied to Palmyra in this weeks pile of manure from this contributor. "Flat Track Bullies". What does that even mean? Why does Palmyra have to whoop the arse of West Scarborough (which they did in every senior grade) to rid themselves of this gratuitous and insulting critique?

I have no problem with cretins brainwashed into abusing my club. God knows I've abused theirs.

But at least I have half an idea of what I'm talking about.

Computer generated text is used widely by media people nowadays. Certainly is a formula driven / cookie cutter approach.

There is no local rugby content in the weekly articles so I'm pretty sure its computer generated.

I do all my sports writing here.

    The pay is better.

Anyone know how Kalamunda went against Associates? RugbyWA don't appear to know yet.

Have just read the latest game report on rugby wa's website. Seems like pally were saved by the rain. Is that your take on it Fulvio?

Who is this guy Brad Lucas from wests? Imported hard man?

The next article the computer generates should be about the looming battle for 4th spot on the ladder as the top 3 teams seem to have bolted.

Two critical games next week in the battle to keep in the mix for the last finals slot. Soaks v Pally and Kala v Cott.

Which of Soaks, Kala, Cott & Joondalup will win the race?
My guess is either Soaks or Cott as they will have their Force players available to them soon.

To be fair, grammatical and syntax errors notwithstanding, that was his or her best effort this year by far.

Must have read my petulant critique before writing it up.

The article didn't say anything about the rain that I could see.

1st paragraph second sentence "But with the rain came disappointment for the Boars who's ball handling errors cost them a redemption win, going down 22-10 at the final whistle. "

Seems to imply that wests would have won if it wasn't for the rain.

Brad Lucas has been flown in from Queensland and is a former SAS assassin who was thrown in to start fights and intimidate the opposition with sneaky cheap shots and his mission was to permanently maim as many as possible. Scary bastard who eats whole flat screen plasmas for breakfast.

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

The rain had no effect on Wests. It wasn't heavy, and to the extent it rained on them it rained on Pally too.

Wests threw everything they had into the second half. The luck of the referee's decisions went mainly their way. For example, a head high tackle with nothing in it cost Palmyra a sin bin. Same ordinary head high decision in the second half, when Wests were to blame, did not.

Five or six penalties in succession were awarded to Wests in the last 15 minutes when they were deep in attack which they blew.

West's problem, as it appeared to me, was that they still thought last week's loss to Kala was an aberration, and that the would bounce back without too much trouble. After all, they had won 25 in a row. They were not used to losing, and when they found themselves 12 or so points down at half time, with no easy way through Palmyra's defence, they lost structure and played individual rugby. Skillful rugby, don't get me wrong, but the player's team mates were not sure what was happening and weren't there in support.

Wests are a very good team, with very good players, and they will bounce back with a huge win next week.

I thought Brad Lucas was West's first grade manager, as I had heard of his reputation, and observed his behaviour immediately after the game.

I thought he wanted to murder me.
