Yes, it would be a good idea to have a 'counter' at the Force HQ giving the rolling total-like a Telethon!

"Super Rugby cull may not go far enough, says South Africa Rugby boss".

In this article is this: "South Africa will see its number of teams cut from six to four, with the identity of the sides to drop out to be made known by the end of June." Interesting that they can take so long but ARU are so eager to kick us out.

This is the end of an article in daily telegraph. Again apologies I have no clue how to paste a link - anyway about Dave weesles going to brumbies. Thought the last line was interesting! "We hear he has options in Japan, too, and a it’d be a shame to see another good Aussie coach leave. Developments in Melbourne may change the picture."

The "developments in Melbourne" may be the feeling that Tony mcgahan isn't the right guy to lead the rebels into the expected prosperity that comes from their longitude.

    Heres the last paragraphs:

"“Dave has performed well with the Force and he does has a history at the Brumbies. At the moment he is not on our radar and we haven’t had any discussions with him, so we will just see what happens in the next little while to make a decision. But we have two very good candidates we are focusing on at the moment.”

If the Force survive, McKellar is the man most likely to replace Larkham but whether he’d stay in Canberra as an assistant remains to be seen.

We hear he has options in Japan, too, and a it’d be a shame to see another good Aussie coach leave. Developments in Melbourne may change the picture."

That particular insult is a large reason for the injury imho, not just Dave, but Dane, Adam, chance, Curtis, Benny, Gus, jermaine and a bunch of our fringe players. It might be explained away through financial, however we all know that's a crock.

In one of the videos of sinderberry one his responses is about juniors. He says in 2005 we had approx 185 junior teams and in 2016 we had 238 teams. Hope that helps

As a rough figure for seniors and juniors I'd guess somewhere under 10k registered players.

    And "participants" somewhere over 30k.

Based on the 2013 WA Rugby Annual Report, page 20:

After the very strong growth in 2012, the 2013 season again saw more registered juniors and seniors playing the game in our club rugby competitions, continuing our rise towards 10,000 registered participants in the next few years. The increased focus on Sevens this year has seen significant growth in participants - in particular in the girls and womens competitions - with numerous players being introduced to rugby at these tournaments. The work of the Development Officers in schools this year has seen a significant increase in the amount of schoolkids exposed to the game. The efforts from our clubs, schools and Sevens events have seen our total participation figures skyrocket from 23,971 in 2012 to 30,359 in 2013, a growth of 26.65%. The challenge in coming years will be to convert more participants into regular club rugby, to continue the growth into our clubs.

Trying for a few years on that one, seeing that ARU gets the registration payments maybe they could share - the exact amount.
