Possibly, but the rabble aren't worth anywhere near what they were on Friday. I still reckon we should put in a low bid as a security net for when the uaru cook up some other bullshit story to kill us.

Ruck Involvements - Force v Kings

    Remember:
    1. Early means 1st or 2nd of player’s team AFTER the ball carrier has been tackled and brought to ground.
    2. Impact means active engagement: strong physical contact, changed shape of ruck, clean-out, protecting ball etc. (more than hand on someone’s bum or arriving after the hard work has been done). Yes it’s subjective - but as I collect all data at least it’s consistent.
    3. Impact DOES NOT equate to Effectiveness. I’ve concluded that coming up with an effectiveness measure is just too hard in the time that I have available – but open to suggestions.

    1. The lads stepped up for this game against the Kings.
    2. Hodgson, Faulkner, Philip & TPN had their highest number of Ruck Involvements for 2017.
    3. Some good involvements off the bench - especially from Hardwick.
    4. The Force countered the Kings' breakdown pressure with strong support of their ball carriers. 46% of Attack rucks involved 3 or more players supporting the ball carrier. 42% with 2 players.
    5. A credible 28 of Ruck Involvements by the Front Rowers (esp the Starting trio)
    6. Back Row and Backs made 70% of the D Ruck Involvements.
    7. The Force stood off only 24% of Def Rucks.
    8. 42% of D rucks involved only a single Force player putting pressure on the King's ball.
    9. Best efforts by Backs: Meakes - 21T - 13A/8D; Brache - 14T - 13A/1D
    10. Fantastic to see DHP back to his ball-carrying best from last year. (19 carries for 157m;3CB; 5DB; 2OL; 7 kicks; 9 Passes)
    11. The Force enjoyed about 60% of Possession & Territiory. Not often we see that!
    12. Improved discipline with no Yellow Cards and only 8 Penalties Conceded.
    13. Still 20 Missed Tackles and 19 Handling Errors.

Didn't collect any ruck data on the Kings - finding it hard to find the time for players I don't know much about.

    1. Hodgo just keeps on keeping on.
    2. Smith seems rather subdued and has become very selective with his involvements.
    3. Alcock appears to be moulding himself as Hooper's logical replacement.
    4. Naisarani maintaining his rucking effort. He was also top tackler (12) against the Kings. (Meakes 9; RHP 8; Hodgo 7)
    5. Philip averaging 20T - 18A/2D. Enjoying his ball-carrying - and getting over the gain line. (And also RHP's - 9 carries for 37m against the Kings))
    6. I'll try harder to get some ruck stats on Colby Fainga'a (Rebels)

Unfortunately all the hoo ha has taken away some of the praise for the guys game on Sunday. Apart from a couple of lapses which let in tries, it was an exciting game and great to see the backs getting into the action!

Wessels actually said " It was our worst rugby performance but our best character performance to get the win". Watching the replay I could see what he meant as we didn't show as much of the rugby mojo we had against the crusaders and blues. If we had the score would have been a lot bigger.
