As for Rona, he effectively shut out the three Wallaby 13s in 3 successive weeks - Folau, Kerevi and Kuridrani. He and Meakes work well in defence.
Really BeeJay you must have been watching different games than I was. He was lazy getting back in D, so lazy in fact that Peni had to defend in the 13 position.
Not to hard to defend set pieces it's at the 2nd and 3rd phases where it matters.

    4. Force must not hang their heads

The Perth men should have blown the game wide apart within 10 minutes. They were cutting the Brumbies to shreds both on the edges and in the midfield, with Billy Meakes again impressing with his directness and short passing game. Their failure to put on points was just as costly as Ross Haylett-Petty's yellow card later on.

Yet they are so clearly on the right track with their style of play that they can look forward to the rest of the campaign with something approaching optimism.

Dave Wessels is doing a good job. He has recruited well and is using a style of play that suits their athletes in the back line. They are enjoyable to watch. He has turned that team around.

Never thought I'd see Paul Cully say something positive about the Force.

Interesting, I wonder whether he'll follow that up with a "Reds or Tahs must be cut for the good of Aussie rugby" article!

...let's conduct an experiment and paint a picture of what the Waratahs would look like in 2018 should either the Force or the Rebels be sacrificed in the name of letting Australia's best players play with each other...
Fairly sure of themselves at this stage.

You'd be better off collapsing the Brumbies if you wanted to make a couple of super teams. Tom Staniforth warming the bench is an epic waste of talent. At present, he would start for the Waratahs, Force and Rebels.

Actually, Peni does come in off his wing a lot in defence. Not Rona's fault, that, but he does need to be careful as other teams may seek to exploit the opening.

Just shows the poor quality in the Waratahs. Why not do it the other way and see what the Force would look like if the 'tahs or Brumbies were cut.

Based upon current contracting practices, we would pick up a bunch of second hand waratahs and Reds, mainly shit, with some potential.
