If there's one thing Alan Jones knows how to do it's play to his audience.
How much influence does he have and what is his agenda?
Because while I won't be upset if the ARU board is sacked I would be very unempressed if Papworth replaced Pulver.
Or a Papworth/Shute Shield stooge was put in Pulver's place.
I think in any CEO that is supported by Jones, the Force ends up having greater power as the community ownership model and the priority of developing local players is something you can tell he supports whole-heartedly.
In any future ARU, the whole structure is more supportive to Western Australia if Jones is part of the running of the game post this situation.
Is there a link for the interview? I was picking up the squidlets from the sweat shop
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
I have had a couple of on air jousts with Brett Papworth over his attitude to Western Force. Mainly re his assertions that "all their players are from over here". I also sent him and the other people on his radio program e mails listing the local players on this year's roster and pointing out that they were spreading "Fake News."
I don't know he and Jones' agenda re the ARU board. But I don't doubt their concerns about the game. It would be interesting to know if Pappy has, like the Fox blokes, now seen what the Force have achieved and changed his thinking too.
It would be great if Hans or General were to be interviewed on that show and see how it goes. They also are networked right around NSW and Qld. 6PR was good but a little like preaching to the converted.

Great news John. We have AJ in our camp. My suggestion is for us to let the fire burn in his belly, we don't want to over do it. I am off for 2 weeks, y'know Work gets in the way of Rugby!!!
The TWF folk are dynamite. Lets keep the stogies on the shelf until the time comes to light them. Keep fighting the good fight and enjoy your last few days over there.
Out of curiosity, tonight I had a look at outcomes for the Force over the 1st 8 games under Michael Foley & Dave Wessels.
In 2013, under Michael Foley, the Force had 2 wins (Reds & Crusaders) from 8 games, a points differential of -40 and 12 points (under the same points system as used today).
Games were against Rebels (A), Kings (A), Bulls* (A), Reds* (A), Cheetahs* (H), Tahs (A), Rebels (H) & Crusaders* (H).
* = Teams in Finals (4).
The season finished with 4 Wins & 1 Draw, differential of -99 pts for 31 points
(267 points/26 tries for; 366 points/34 tries against)
In 2017, under David Wessels the Force has 2 wins (Reds & Kings) from 8 games, a points differential of -57 and 9 points.
Games have been against Waratahs# (A), Reds (H), Brumbies# (A), Crusaders# (A), Blues (A), Kings (H), Chiefs (H) & Lions# (H).
# = Teams 1st or 2nd in Conference (4).
I'm sure that there will be lots of chats as the season unfolds.
