I hope they've been putting in work on their place-kicks, if I remember it was pretty average during NRC.

I like the tactics ... bring on TPN to inject energy at 50'. Heath T won't last at all, Wessels looks like he'll use the bench to good effect, good coaches are using all 23 in the squad. Cheiks learnt nothing from Eddie.

As for Tahs ... just crowd Phipps & his decision making will let him down; KK & Hooper will be a great battle if KK has as much respect for Hoops as the rest of the country.

Do we really want KK seagulling out in the centres for that much of the game.

I think it would be more a Curtis Rona vs Michael Hooper battle if history counts for anything.

The forwards on this week's bench are probably next week's starters. Five day turn around and a must win home game. Gotta love having some depth. Makes all the difference.

If you take into account how the Tahs finished in their trial against highlanders and our own history in the last 20 mins, the bench looks to be a "finishers" bench. Plus, as someone mentioned, the short turn around means this is probably next weeks starters.

Anyone know what Burton's status is? Had high hopes for him, but haven't heard anything about him this year...

Force have come in to $4.20 overnight, probably due to Foley being unavailable but $5.75 was ridiculous odds.

Code-hopper Curtis Rona to confront Izzy on debut

Western Force coach Dave Wessels is confident former NRL star Curtis Rona can handle a head to head battle with Wallabies ace Israel Folau in his Super Rugby debut.

Rona, who scored 40 tries during his 57-game NRL career with the Cowboys and Bulldogs, has been named at outside centre for the Force in Saturday's clash with the NSW Waratahs at Allianz Stadium.
