I feel for the players.... I guess that there will be lots of subs happening due to the unrestricted rotation.

Don't train too hard. Wouldn't want a gout flare-up to have you hobbling the water. Could be a larf for the lads but.

Thanks for the heads up Reg,

BTW I posted from my phone Toulouse was an autocorrect.....you don't have to believe it, but it's true.

If they name 5 backs, Mitchell, O'Connor, Tuilangi, Goromaru and a 9 would be pretty lethal, maybe there'd be a couple of lazy tacklers, but they would sure be capable of scoring some points.

I didn't recognise the forwards, so can't comment.

I'm not planning to chalk anything in this pool up as an easy win given where we came from last year, but I have allowed myself the luxury of some hope.

I'd be stoked if it turns out how you've suggested.

Rugby 10s doesn’t Force a re-think ahead of Brisbane comp

    Nick Taylor
    Friday, February 10, 2017 2:52PM

A whiteboard session is the only tune-up Western Force have had going into this weekend’s Brisbane Global Rugby 10s as they focus firmly on the Super Rugby season.
But that doesn’t mean they will not go all out for their share of the $1.6 million prize money.
Coach Kevin Foote said they would not be showing too many of their Super Rugby structures ahead of their Super season kick-off against the Waratahs in Sydney in a fortnight.
“We have not actually trained for 10s at all but we’ll give it a good crack,” Foote, the Force skills coach, said.
“Our focus remains on Super Rugby but because there’s been so much emphasis on skills and fitness going into the season we actually have quite a nice synergy between the two forms of the game.”
Extra space in the 10s format will suit Force speedsters like new signings Curtis Rona and Chance Peni, who have played the NRL’s shortened 9s version, Semisi Masiwera and Wallaby winger Luke Morahan who may spend time in the centre.
New signing Robbie Coleman will be given a chance to show his speed off the mark at playmaker while Foote has a few tricks up his sleeve including bringing 118kg Future Force academy back-rower Onehunga Kaufusi into the front row.
The Force have three tough pool games on Saturday against reigning Super Rugby champions Hurricanes, French powerhouse Toulon who have former Force players James O’Connor and Drew Mitchell in their squad and South African super side Bulls.
Searing temperatures and high humidity are expected in Brisbane and Foote will be wary of over using players. Teams have eight substitutes with unlimited changes each game.
“We have to be smart around overloading and I’ll be giving everyone a game. I don’t want to overexpose the guys.”
The Force are current World Club 10s champions, having won the title in Mauritius last year with a squad mainly of Perth Spirit, academy and local

    $3.30

Rugby Reg reckons 365 have $5.50. Unlike Ragnar and Samuel. L, I'm not a "member". So I'll stay away.

Nor am I and I can't be bothered signing up for another account with another site.

I got the Force to win the Comp at $23 this arvo as I was at the pub with a TAB station.

I've got 3 as it is. I could probably be bothered to join one more - but not to go engage a lawyer for the resulting divorce proceedings.
