Maybe after we buy back the Force we could raise another effort to buy the Shorks cheerleaders fro a few years back. Good luck with running that one past the Leader of the Opposition.

Why the hell do we need to import cheerleaders?
As mentioned previously there are more than enough dancers, gymnasts etc. in WA.

I, sort of am. Serious that is.
I don't actually know why the Force don't have cheerleaders.
They don't have to be sexualized like the Sharks cheerleaders are. It can be done tastefully and I have no problem with having blokes out there as well. God knows it would be better than those muppets in the blue body suits. (and you can't tell me those suits didn't leave anything to the imagination)
and WA does actually have a very large industry in the Dance Academy sense.
Now I understand that they would have to be payed and the Force are a bit skint but... I'd like to see the Force showcase more than just WA's rugby talent. The Force is an opportunity to showcase all that WA has to offer on a world wide stage.

Yes the fact there are so many of these groups why not offer them "the opportunity" to make it their own and a chance for them to expose their dance groups. Whoever puts the cheapest and best value option gets the gig. Rotate it if required between groups.

The Rebs have his n hers cheerleaders, but really it's a bit like cooking and cleaning, I mean you only get out of it what you put in

I had to look them up as I'm not a follower of basketball (can't stand the game)
but, yes, they seem to take it very seriously.
And, as people have pointed out, the NRL (and NBL) understand that sport needs to be a complete entertainment experience.
It needs to be seen as a good night out, not just a trip to the 'footy'.
The US NFL can teach us a lot about how to fully entertain the punters and give them an experience.
How many of us go to watch the Force and say 'that was a great experience' rather than just 'that was a great game'?

The one thing I love about the Wildcats dancers (having looked them up) is that they have their own sponsorship
    Fantastic idea!

    Ok
    This has got me thinking.

Why aren't we showcasing what WA has to offer?
Why can't we have southwest wineries offering taste tests in the members bar at a game for example.
Call one round the 'taste of WA' round or something?
Hell you could even charge a 'moderate' fee to have a few booths set up around the grounds.

I understand there's the whole 'alcohol' and 'advertising' thing with sport but it's just an example.

or am I just pissing in the wind and calling it rain?

Hell, and I'm serious about this one, why not make it a reality show?

I'm saving for a house at the moment so it was pretty line ball whether I could justify the cost at this time. I imagine there are plenty out there who would want to commit but just can't.

Lucky for me, Mrs Jargs was on board from the get go.
Maybe some could consider pooling resources to buy a share. That would be fine by us. There are some clubs that are looking at buying a "block" of shares under the name of the Club. Again we would be more than happy with this.
