HUUUUUUGE defensive effort by the spirit. So great to get the win for the boys especially after all that has happened this year. HARDWICK WAS IMMENSE, some great drives, and an absolute menace at the breakdown, well deserved man of the match. Bill Meakes once again had an amazing game especially in defense. Dwayne Nestor won the world cup 10's and now the NRC trophy, he is on a good run at the moment.

Proud of every single one of them they ALL deserved the medal including the guys who have played through the comp like Scobles, Erasmus, Hadleigh- who did I miss? They looked absolutely confident the entire game and dominated despite the fkn ref! Nearly gave me heart failure at the end when they were kicking the ball away. If the Force plays like that next season I am very happy. Hoiles was nearly choking on his choc milk, and had to laugh at the empty grounds for the presentation. Up yours Eastern States boyos!

Perth Spirit proved them both right in winning their first National Rugby Championship with a 20-16 win over favourites NSW Country Eagles in Tamworth.
