One can only look at things and comment that after all this time they should now know how to get it right!

Unfortunately we cannot look back as the goalposts have moved and the landscape has changed drastically over the past few years. The Force are dealing with a lot more hurdles than ever before and not all of their own making. The only constant has been our unwavering support for them as the Sea of Blue, even as our numbers start to dwindle.

This could be our last chance to ensure that we continue to survive, as I said in an earlier post it is up to us to try and ensure that our children and hopefully their children still have a team to support.

Just remember where are the Western Reds now, and how many broken promises from the NRL to give Perth a league team again, if we get snuffed out that will be it.

That would be a grand total of zero. At no stage have the NRL promised to expand.

The difference between the NRL and the ARU is one is cashed up with a multi billion dollar TV deal and the other is the equivalent of a hobo begging on a street corner.

Stop it with your logic, you know it has no place on this forum

I'll probably be there again next year because I love the game.
Because of the way SR is now going I will probably get a set game membership if possible because I'm sick and tired of all the derby (conference) games. I want to see the foreign players.
I do wonder if the ARU is already making plans to can one of the teams and if so IF the eastern states have their way it's bound to be us.

Just a quick perusal of the net:

Either way the 90's is a long time back that we had a team here, even when money has not been an issue.

It is good to see the option to blood Wessels late last year wasn't in vain

    Drawing a long bow there.

The NRL were investigating expansion not promising expansion. At no stage have the NRL even asked for bids for expansion.

You are right about something though, if the Force do get canned I doubt the ARU could afford to re-launch them.

Dave Wessels has been handed the Western Force head coaching job, but what don't you know about the newest Super Rugby mentor?

    1. RUGBY NOT HIS ONLY FIELD
Dave Wessels might be young but he’s not a career rugby coach either, having cut his teeth away from the clipboard or the whistle. Before embarking on his coaching career, Wessels was head of new media at South African publishing company, Touchline Media. He also helped launch website, SARugby.com, now enveloped by Planet Rugby, a South Africa-based rugby news site.

    2. WESSELS LOVES AN UNDERDOG
The Western Force’s trophy cabinet is empty but it won’t be the first time Wessels has encountered a challenge. He broke a 37-year trophy drought at the University of Cape Town side in 2011, after two seasons at the helm.

    3. IT’S ACADEMIC
As well as leading the University of Cape Town, Wessels has spent many hours there studying as well. The former Stormers consultant graduated with a Bachelor of Business Science and has also completed his Masters, in IT.

    4. WORLDY WESSELS?

The 33-year-old is two years younger than captain Matt Hodgson, who Force general manager Mark Sinderberry says is on the verge of re-signing for 2017. To put that in context, Nick Stiles is 15 years older than Reds captain James Slipper, NSW coach Daryl Gibson is 16 years older than skipper Michael Hooper, Tony McGahan is 19 years older than Rebels captain Nic Stirzaker and Stephen Larkham is nine years older than Stephen Moore and 14 the senior of Christian Lealiifano.Having consulted at the Stormers, Brumbies and then coaching at the Force, Wessels has been a part of plenty of Super Rugby sides for a young coach.

    5. SECOND-BEST DAVE
A Super Rugby coach would be a good alumnus for any school to have but Dave Wessels might not even be the most high-profile Dave who graduated from St Stithians in Cape Town. A handful of international cricketers and Springboks have been to the high school, but it’s Dave Matthews of the Dave Matthews Band, 15 years older than Wessels, who might take the cake.

That will be the coaches and managers from Wests under 17s and colts
They will get the job done
Shows the failure of this bloke that he feels insecure already by engaging experienced assitants

I am with you snob I want to see an equal amount of NZ and SA games like the previous yrs.. I would think the draw could be more about less derby's and more overseas games
