    Finals 2016

Oops, think the Lions may have left a couple too many players at home! They have finished second with a loss to the Jaguars. Prob didn't expect a bonus point win to the Canes

The Lions were only 1 point in front of the Chiefs on the overall ladder going into the final round which makes the decision to rest players even more inexplicable.

Well the finals have been set up well by the Kiwi teams... Not 1 kiwi Derby in the finals.. Yes the Saders and the chief's have to travel to SA and highlanders to OZ but it could be all NZ teams in the Semei's Not sure if it was a set up but could not have been better worked..

    Brumbies V Highlanders ACT
    Lions V Saders SA
    Hurricanes V Sharks NZ
    Stormers V Chiefs SA

SA get 2 games this round and poss none next.. They can blame the lion for them not getting a team in the final as if lions had won then it would have been lions V sharks and 1 NZ team would have been knocked out and the possibility of the grand final in SA if they had beaten the sharks in SA..

That's a career defining gamble by any coach.
Will be interesting to see if there is any fallout

    Oh without a doubt.
After watching the kiwi games on the weekend the brumbies don't stand a chance.
The title is staying in NZ that's for sure

Yes all Kiwi semi's as the Crusaders and the Chief's will be getting blasted by the coach and by themselves for loosing.. I always find a loosing kiwi team one week is hungrier than ever the next..

It was as if they were playing a different game - the skills, ambition and flair smacks of coaching allowing them to play what is in front of them as opposed to rigid game planning.

just got in from work saw the brumbs result so with weeks to go in the comp. we have NO Aussie team left and to top it all did they forget to open the gate as it was a case of spot the spectator for a final maybe we will get a chance to show those fair weather supporters how its done R.I.P. aussie rugby let the Kiwi and S.A. sledging begin

Evidently only 8,600 people attended the game.

A bit tragic, despite the weather, that such a small crowd turn out to support and watch the top team in the Aussie group.

Says a lot about the general growing lack of interest in attending matches.
The Brumbies attendance has steadily decreased from >17,000 in 2009 to about 11,500 in 2016.
The drop-off for other Aussie franchises, over the same period, show a similar trend:
    Waratahs: 24,000 to <20,000 (down to 17k in 2013)
    Reds: >30,000 - 17,000
    Force: >17,000 - <11,000
    Rebels: >17,000 - >10,000 (only since 2011)

I'm looking forward to watching the remaining SR Finals as they well be free of the diabolical Aussie Fox Sports commentators.

    Wow Reds almost 50%!
Can almost understand Rebels due to the amount of different sport available.
I will be more interested with the figures for next year as personally think and find that the S15/18 has totally lost its appeal!
I don't like this conference thing. I watch the Force hoping to see them playing against some of the best rugby players in the world!
Well the truth is I see them playing other Ausie teams more than international teams!
SANSAR better change this soon or I'm afraid I will just keep on paying for FOXTEL and forget about my two memberships!

I'm just watching the brumbies getting schooled by the highlanders.

Does anybody else think it might be time for Steve Moore to be replaced as wallaby captain?

Even the Aussie ref's seem to have him pegged as a serial whinger, Gus gardner was telling him to shut up by the 50th minute
