Thought that Ireland's Joe Schmidt was also becoming available? Reading today that Chief's are keen to chat to him as he may go back home to NZ. Wouldn't he be a good coach prospect?

    From http://www.theroar.com.au/2016/07/17...western-force/

"It’s been a season to forget for the financially-stricken Force, who were taken over by the ARU last month, had coach Michael Foley sacked shortly after and a number of misbehaving players while on tour in South Africa.
They are due to name a full-time replacement for Foley within the next month, but interim coach Dave Wessels – keen to throw his hat into the ring for the job – is positive about what lies ahead."

Not much progress has been reported lately about a new coach apart from the very concerning reports we might be getting the leftovers of Qlds coaching search. If this is the case that our new coach will be someone elses 2nd or 3rd choice, then this is bullshit. This next coaching appointment will make or break this club and if Sinderberry allows us to be a dumping ground for someone else's leftovers than Sinderberry should fall on his sword and resign. We may not be able to attract the top of the top players, so we should not compromise on our choice of coach. Our last coach was the leftovers of the Cheika or Foley decision made by the Tahs and how did that turn out? One mid table season and a bunch of cutlery to make soup. We need a highly experienced coach who is going to transform our rugby programme into a world class environment players want to be a part of while also embracing the importance of the local premier grade comp, the 2 things Foley failed at.
There are 2 major decisions that led to Foleys demise, one is that he wrapped the players too much in cotton wool. Apparently according to GPS data collected by the ARU shows that we were the most undertrained team not only in Australia but the whole competition. No wonder we only had 40-60mins of rugby in us this year. Secondly he would not allow Force players to get game time in the local comp. How the hell do expect to engage the local rugby community by snubbing it?
This is why we need th most experienced, qualified and hungry coach we can get, not someones leftovers. We went down that path once hopefully we learnt our lesson.
