I'm going to recommend that we rename our home ground the "Forceshore". Think it will take off.

you should rename it Naru or Manus island as you have that many imports down there anyone entering the ground by boat would feel right at home

So sad when you have to pretend to be a Nedlands supporter on an open forum. Life across the other side of the river must be dull and boring.

It must be tough work for RugbyWA to bring so much critisism upon themselves.I know I know .. It's not them ... It's the player decision.

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

Surely JOC, Gits and Pocock (to name a few) amongst many others have played at 15 in the u20s?
It isn't an everyday event, but it cannot not be unheard of?
In country leagues its an everyweek occurrence.

Those 3 players are amongst the very best going around and were always going to dominate age group level rugby. You can't make a comparison to a 15 year old local kid who is playing up 5 years out of his age group just because he's a big boy.Paly colts are the size of some senior packs and look and play like men. They have done some seriously pumping so far this season and yesterday put 60 on Neddies.Again this is a decision that will have some serious consequences not if but when this kid get's buckled up.

The other side of the story appears with more info.
With the first touch of info - 15yr old plays up
Then, suddenly it becomes outrage about how it's not fair that he was cleared. If the kid is capable you'd be taking your home again if he wasn't allowed to play up.
I'm not saying it's okay, not saying it not okay either.
    There's always some outliers.

    2 headlines to every story

Darkness - I'm saying it's not unheard of.
But manipulate as you see fit.

If this child is cleared to play by the appropriate authority what would be the problem If the asessor has the relevant qualification will let it be upon his head If the parents think he will be ok will let it be on there head

First part of the assessment should be a visit to Shenton Park rehabilitation hospital to show the potential outcomes
For the parents and the asessor before putting someone in this potential position
After that if they still feel confident all should proceed without delay

Sorry Mr Beard, have read your gobbledygook a number of times over and have no idea what you are trying to say.

Sevenmile, suggest Westie's post has a concerned underlying warning about coaches having the coaching accreditation to dispensate young players and then abusing that privilege for their own personal ambitions and short term goals with the real risks to the player not being fully assessed. If a persuasive coach pumps a kids tyres up and convinces his parents that he is the next big thing then the player becomes a ticking time bomb.

There's only one coach in perth club rugby who is recklessly granting dispensations at present. Question is why there is not appropriate oversight on this guy because its only a matter of time before a kid gets seriously hurt. If some kid is paralysed the JOC and Gits argument will look pretty feeble.

First thoughts are, no a 15 year old shouldn't be playing U20s. But then if he's 15/16 and a big powerful lad with 5 years old quality junior rugby under his belt.. your typical Perth 17, 18 year rugby player isn't exactly big so perhaps it's not as whacky as it sounds. I would still not grant a dispensation though.
