for NH and Japan you'd have to be right. And for the other 3 "safe" franchises don't we have until the end of November to finalise the 35 contracts?
The other SR teams would have to be the same or similar too.

Despite stating that it could be a player from either team, there's something in there that the Force didn't do...

Spill? I though the line with staff leaving, not much of that from RWA

I'm basing it on the recollection of where they were for the announcement.

I think the ARU's Plan B has essentially been to deliberately do nothing in the hope that players would "take charge of their own destinies " by guaranteeing a livelihood in the NH and - hey presto - we are pretty much back to 3 SR franchises without the ARU having to pay a cent and with the 'defence' that their hands were tied by SANZAAR and it wasn't their fault that players decided their own futures.

I don't have words bad enough to describe how I feel about every person in a decision-making role at the ARU.

Could it be this by any chance? I doubt very much if our blokes were gathered round a TV in the dressing sheds!

"The press conference was playing on television and all of us in the room were gobsmacked. It was like the Melbourne Cup, everyone was gathered around the TV. They said 48 to 72 hours and we all thought, 'wow, that's very quick'.

Even more telling, the media coverage of the announcement started when the Boys were still on the field

Interesting development Jamie Pandaram has just tweeted contract moratorium has been lifted and players that sign for culled franchise will have contracts paid out.

This just gets more messy all the time, where is the money to pay out contracts and how do you sign players now that may have no job to go to as their contract will be paid out rather than a place found for them. (NAB loan?)

I will take that as a sign that the ARU is no closer to sorting the mess out.

He proposed this in his podcast last Friday....looks like someone from ARU is feeding them and no others....but then again....their bloke is still there until June isnt he?

Be interesting to know how many Rebels are off contract this year. I know we have heaps and it seems most are trying to hang in. Snap 'em all up!
