Kenya .... Over throw the Fijians

What a great day for rugby 7s I just watched a great display of gutsy rugby.. It was do or die but the kenyains never gave up and did not stop the rampage on the Fijians... I was expecting a tight close 1st half with the Fijians closing it out in the second like normal but the kenyains just took it to then and won 30 to 7.. they never took the foot of the throat.. Well done kenya

It's awesome to see them win. I remember going to the Adelaide sevens, the Kenyans had no chance but their supporters were amazing.
The team has just got better and better over the years

114 tournaments before their first win!!

A good lesson in never giving up on your team, and that it takes times (sometimes a loooong time) before you get the taste of victory to savour

So we're a lock for the title 2119!

Anyway here's the Kenyan fans in Sydney (ironically with Fiji warming up in front of them)...

Good result given their drop off in form in the past 12-18 months.

I guess they've been in rebuilding period?

My dad grew up & went to school in Kenya, and was my major influence in discovering/watching/playing rugby, so I follow their rugby exploits. They were entertaining throughout this last tournament and were a great advert about everything that's good about rugby/7's.
