Do we really want them dissecting that second half performance from last week?

We'll get a mention when we earn one. Simple as that

I'd like to be the first to announce the new rumor that the Waratahs are in financial difficulty and may be moving to Western Sydney.
Difficult name for a team song, but what a team the Western Red and Blue Ponies will be. Yeharrrrr

Brumbies back-room drama takes new twist

    By Roje Adaimy
    AAP on March 30, 2016, 12:23 pm

The back-room drama at the Brumbies has taken a new twist with a number of key stakeholders moving to get rid of the board that stood down chief executive Michael Jones.

An extraordinary general meeting has been called for April 13 to dissolve the Super Rugby club's board of directors and appoint new ones.

It's been reported four of seven Canberra club rugby presidents, who hold the balance of power in the Brumbies' board room, were behind the move.

It comes as Jones and the board await a ruling from the ACT Supreme Court on whether the CEO can continue his duties.

Jones was on Tuesday night granted a short extension to an injunction that allows him to continue working, with Justice Richard Refshauge expected to hand down a judgment in coming days.

The Brumbies are trying to have that order overturned.

Jones was stood down last Monday following a radio interview on ABC Grandstand.

He claimed he was being targeted by outsiders mentioned in a report around the sale of the club's Griffith headquarters, which Jones referred to police.

The document has not been made public.

Brumbies coaches and players have been on a media ban for much of the ordeal.

The Brumbies sit top of the Australian conference, and face the Chiefs - the leading New Zealand outfit - at GIO Stadium on Saturday.

So this is going to fester for another two weeks at least, it's going to cost a fortune.

Bill must have really enjoyed his meeting over here.

Brumbies duo Stephen Moore and Scott Fardy will avoid questioning following departure of CEO Michael Jones

    http://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/su...acdc6b12916b1a

AUSTRALIAN rugby’s player representative body says there was never any basis for an investigation to be launched into the workplace behaviour of Brumbies players Stephen Moore and Scott Fardy.

Moore and Fardy were dragged into the Brumbies’ boardroom battle when The Daily Telegraph revealed on Friday that chief executive Michael Jones wanted an investigation conducted into the pair.

But the next day Jones reached a payout settlement with the Brumbies board, understood to be worth more than $500,000, to leave the job at the end of this week.

The board then announced no investigation would be held in relation to Moore and Fardy.

With the Rugby Union Players’ Association (RUPA) saying there was no basis for an investigation, the timing of Jones’s request for one - while in the midst of mediation with the Brumbies - raised eyebrows.

“RUPA acknowledges that the Brumbies have confirmed that there will not be any investigations into the workplace conduct of any players, as earlier news reports had suggested,” a RUPA statement said.

“Furthermore, RUPA understands that there is not and was not any basis for such an investigation.’’

A purported email was circulated on Friday containing unsubstantiated and potentially defamatory accusations in relation to the investigation request by Jones, which the Telegraph chose not to publish.

Moore and Fardy were made aware of Jones’ request for an investigation that day, but no specific accusations were made against them.

Jones’ departure from the club will end the most tumultuous and bitter period in Brumbies’ history.

Jones has been at odds with the Brumbies board since giving an explosive interview on radio threatening to retaliate against people he believed were undermining him.

“If I go to war it’s going to be ugly, and there’s going to be a lot of people who are going to get burnt by it,” Jones said in March, beginning a nasty chain of events that including courtroom battles and sniping.

Note the "more than $500000 figure" to pay out Jones' contract. a tad expensive one might assume. Well, relative to us anyway.

So is the AFP investigation over now as well?
Sounds like Jones just got a brown paper bag of cash & walked away.
You'd imagine he also signed a NDA as well so we'll never know exactly what went on

$500,00 would easily have paid for us for an attack coach.
