We beat a fairly average Neddies side twice in the season and then got pumped by a completely different side in the semis, I did wonder how the wholesale changes to the team was engineered so that the regulars weren't left feeling shafted?

Nothing can be done. You feel shafted and I still feel shafted to this day. I remember the year before someone missing out on the whole finals serires because they hadnt "played the required number of games" to qualify for finals. They had, they just had listed another name in the hope they would be able to return from injury to take part in the finals , so as a result were not allowed to take the field.

100% true. I can name names too - one of which i know is no longer involved with the club. I think its easier to get away with in the lower grades because they arent policed as much.

One with a degree of subtlety, and enough intelligence to appreciate that demanding a yes or no answer to a question, such as Westies man was requiring from Choice, can lead to unintended inferences being derived from the answer, such as in the question I posed.
