I do think however that the Exec will be better off this year than before There is a change in attitude towards juniors and this is directly from Bob Hunter

    The selection process is flawed.
The coaches are selected through a toe the line or move on policy which stops creativity and lets them nominate players from there own clubs that don:t belong
This is happening in the under 17s right now and will be evident in the results when they travel
The under 20s played a player who has:nt played club rugby for over a year but attends RWA training and has also played for the state schoolboys showing his lack of rugby and also abillity to go to the next level
The junior executive which has been declining over the years as they listen to the RWA as to how things should be run
Take as much money as possible for as little as we can do in return.
Nestor has to much control and his selection of players is not based upon the traditional process of attending games but a quick and easy trial process at the end of the season
The decline in numbers attending trails in the 16-17 age group is proof that the players are loosing interest which is reflecting in the numbers flowing into the senior comp
Why Tom Fern or Dwanye Grace or Andy Cole to name a few are not involved in this process is beyond belief
We hear the lack of money is the problem but it looks more like a closed shop syndrome at RWA with those within protecting there own space and feel threatened by change or being found out by the state of there true incompetence
The loss of Tai McIsaac is something that shows someone with balls gets moved on very quickly under the guise of leaving town for personal reasons
The lack of true rugby players on the junior executive will only leave RWA to run its own agenda and this will lead to a decline in the local comp and flow onto the senior sides
I would not agree always with pieter on the direction he wanted to go as he would not agree with myself as to where I would see rugby but that is the way it should be with many ideas healthy debate and a process that covers all ideas good and bad
Nestor should open the doors to people who are capable of challenging him and his processes and as you would say the cream would rise to the top
Andy Cole is involved. Has he ever won a premiership? Actually has Nestor?
    Jokeathon!

You would hope that now the ARU has branded this as 'Super Rugby' and they are now Western Force that the Western Force takes ownership. Part of the Force pathway.

Andy Cole has won two premierships with Soaks in 2002 & 2012, and has been part of successful WA teams from Perth Gold to u15s over the years.

Haven't coached so irrelevant. But there are better coaches out there and we are stuck with same old problems with no change

WESTERN FORCE UNDER 20’S NAMED FOR CLASH WITH REDS

By David Berrie on Wed 2nd March 16

The Western Force Under 20’s have announced a 23-strong squad to make the journey to Queensland to take on the Reds on Saturday, 5 March, at Suncorp Stadium in the second round of the revamped National Under 20’s competition.

The Western Force Under 20’s will be looking to rebound after a hard-fought 30-26 loss at the hands of the Melbourne Rebels Under 20’s in the opening round of the competition.

Palmyra have the strongest presence in this weekend’s side boasting five players in the match-day 23, with four players starting in the backline. Future Force player Onehunga Havili will lock down the left wing with Trey Moloney manning the right while Leighton Short and Michael Fotu will again partner in the centres.

Completing the backline, West Scarborough’s Eli Greaves comes into the side at fullback while fellow Boar, Angus Taylor will again captain the side in the No.9 jersey and look to continue his solid partnership with Associates flyhalf Tom Ingram.

In the front row Lorenzo Mario of Joondalup and West Scarborough’s Ford Hemi have been elevated from the bench while Nedlands product Tom Sheminant retains his position at loosehead. Rockingham’s Rickus Van Der Heyden and Nedland’s Sam Offer will continue their formidable partnership in the second row.

After strong performances in last round’s clash with the Rebels Tevin Ferris from Nedlands, Rockingham product Sosifa Likio and Wanneroo’s Blake Phillips complete an unchanged backrow.

Coming off the bench will be Palmyra pair Evan Stafford and Taine Oakley, Joondalup’s Tristan Schneider and Te Orangi Thompson, UWA teammates Shambeckler Vui and Tim Wallace, Nedlands’ Hershelle Classen and Cottesloe’s Ivan Wright comes into the side for the first time.

Western Force Under 20’s head coach Dwayne Nestor said the side is looking to rebound from last week and excited for the trip to Queensland.

“We started off really well,” he said. “Looking at the video we played really good rugby in the first 15-minutes and we just have to try to extend that and hopefully with a game under our belt we will have more run in the legs this week.”

“We have made a few changes in the team this week. With it being such a short tournament we can’t wait for boys to get into form so we’ve basically said to the boys that you have to perform or someone else will get an opportunity.

“I don’t see touring as a challenge it’s exciting. I think all the boys will be really excited about travelling and playing against the Reds at Suncorp. I think sometimes you’re better off playing away from home it really gets the boys focused and helps them bond and come together as a unit.”

The match will be live streamed, with the link to be posted on the Western Force Facebook page in the coming days.
