I know it's only one piece of the puzzle, but PSA doesn't allow sporting scholarships....that would surely have an impact.

And if you are a junior not playing PSA you are better off moving away from WA. So many players not playing PSA overlooked by Rugby WA and are doing great things interstate or overseas in NZ and South Africa.

On another Premier Grade clubs would rather spend money on interstate mercenaries than local talented Juniors.

A lot of administration changes required in Rugby in WA for things to improve. Unfortunately I cannot see things changing as Rugby in WA is been run by clubs with self interests as the prime importance. Developing the game and juniors is secondary to winning at all costs for most Premier Grade clubs.

Clarification needed:- I expect a premier grade coach to get paid, and under 20s, but, are you saying 2nd/3rd grade are asking
for a wage? - God help us.

You will be surprised to see how close that comment was to the money some details are lacking but close to the money

A few so called "highly rated" 2nds coaches where asking for about $3-4000 I would Suspect that The champ A 1st team coaches would be getting about that.

One Prem Grade coach was rumoured to be getting at least $30,000 last year. Plenty of others on around $10,000.

I also believe there will be 3 top line juniors playing in the Brisbane private school system on full scholarships next season sad day for wanneroo to loose 3 quality juniors who would have been a great help to the future not only in the prem grade but also at state level
And if you think the jooste boy will be back you must ask yourself would you come back to an organisation that asks you to leave the gym as you are no longer part of this setup
As a matter on interest anyone know which school these boys are going too and which club they will be aligned with?

I'm done this time and that's something that I thought I'd never say.
Everyone chill out, every cloud has a silver lining and my eagerly anticipated return regarding all things involving grass roots rugby should be in about 3 weeks time. That result was strike one.

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

Good to hear Westie! I have to say i think it may be a matter of time before he is shown the door. I hope a few other soft players are shown the exit gate as well. Sorry but i can't feel sorry for professional players who still get paid when they don't do their job properly. Most of us here on this forum do that shit with our employment we get shown the door.
